Great product
From the moment you open the bag you can smell the difference between this and other products. Our hamster and even a rescue squirrel loved it. Quality is above usually brands by far. I've never opened a bag of hamster or other small animal pellet food with such freshness. Worth a try for your furry friend, very nutritional balanced.
Our gerbil loves this
We have a really picky gerbil that usually sifts through all her food and kicks out what she doesn't like. With this food I've never seen her kick it out and she always eats it. I also add a dried herb and flower mix from a seller on ebay plus rolled oats and sometimes dried mealworms for treats. She gets some fresh greens and fruit in a separate bowl. I love that this food does not have any soy as the source of protein in it. Soy has been known to cause hormone disruption. I would imagine also that through this it could cause some cancers. Also, hamsters and gerbils never had soy available out in the wild naturally. But I am no expert. I do do my fair share of research. I appreciate that I can buy gerbil food without soy and artificial colors in it. I just don't understand most of the pet food companies putting artificial dyes and soy in gerbil food! It makes me very angry. No wonder everyone's hamsters and gerbils only last a few years - if that. Pet owners are unknowingly feeding their animals garbage thinking it's healthy for them! I choose to use this food for our gerbil, because the ingredients are all natural and the protein source is from real meat. Thank you, Chewy, for making this food available to us at a good price.
Hamster seems to like it!
I am not a very experienced hamster haver yet but my Chinese dwarf hamster seems to really enjoy this food! She eats it insanely, keeps it in her cheeks, and stashes it all around her cage.
