This is a puzzle
I have no idea how it will turn out. I found myself with a whole bunch of pieces. Other things are coming that way now too. I had to purchase an electric screwdriver as my 82 year old hands are not strong enough to put this together by myself. I'm a little disgusted that something is so very un-assembled. Not one piece put with another. An absolute total Puzzle.
Instant Hit!
I gave this to Roary and Mewsette for their 11th birthday, and Mewsette jumped in as soon as I assembled it. Assembly was quick and easy, so they didn't have to wait long.
Not easy to assemble.
Not as sturdy as it looks in photo. Difficult to put together. Cats do not like the scratching part of it.
Not worth it
Couldn't get the screws all the way in so this wouldn't let the rest to line up. I threw it away.
Well Loved
Our cats loved using these scratchers and they always go inside to sleep in the morning. I do wish there’s a way to replace the scratch pads because they will wear out with time. The two that I bought are already well used and getting close to need a replacement. The cats also love playing with the tail but they come off easily. No big deal though because we can just keep it with the rest of their toys and take them out whenever it’s play time. I hope to hear back from Vesper to get new scratch pads.
Best Scratcher
This is by far the best scratcher I’ve ever owned. I’ve had many others and they all tear up very fast and then I have to toss them in the trash. This one is very durable and holds up well under sharp claws, still looks like NEW after almost a year. I’m very impressed with this one.
Poor construction, but the box is a hit
I don't fault a product when my cats aren't keen to use it, because that's how it sometimes is with cats. Unfortunately I do have to take issue with the poor construction of this scratcher. The carboard roof (located under the scratcher) is supposed to slot into the back - i.e. the "butt" area of the wooden cat - but it regularly pops free, making the top unstable. If one of my big fat kitties tried to climb up there, it would be way too wobbly for them to enjoy. On the plus side, they seem enamored with the box.
cat scratcher is terrible
This is impossible to put together, wouldn’t stay together at my cat won’t use it whatsoever. All I wanna do is return it and I don’t think I’m going to be allowed to return it worst money spent ever.
Sissy loves it!
She watched as I assembled it. I put it where her worn out post used to be but kept the old post just in case. However before I even cleaned my work area she was on the new post scratching and rubbing! The old one went into the trash. Thanks
Cats don’t scratch
Neither of my cats find it satisfying to scratch, or go inside. They have loved previous scratching structures, but aren’t even tempted when I put cat nip around, or try to play with them around it.
