Can you replace the batteries in this if it were to die?

For battery replacement, The Pet-Temp must be returned to Advanced Monitors Corporation. The life span of the battery is over 20,000 temperatures, with a shelf life of up to 10 years. If the Pet-Temp were used 20 times a day, 6 days per week, the battery would last approximately 4 years. Although, more extensive thermometer usage may somewhat shorten the life of the battery.

Is this any different than a human 10 second thermometer(which I already own) it looks very similar.

This pet thermometer is designed with a flexible tip and minimize discomfort for the pet by measuring the temperature in a short time period.

What temperature range does this have? I am looking for an equine thermometer (up to 111* f)

The Vet-Temp Rapid Flexible Digital Pet Thermometer has a temperature range of 89.6 to 107.6 Fahrenheit.

Poor Quality item

I just purchased this on 12/19/24 to have on hand for our pets as our other one finally kicked the bucket after 10+ years. I needed to use it this even and having

I just purchased this on 12/19/24 to have on hand for our pets as our other one finally kicked the bucket after 10+ years. I needed to use it this even and having never used this brand new thermometer, first time going to use and the lo bat indicator comes in. So of course, I replace the battery with the LR41 it requires and the darn thing doesn't even power on, not to mention it's as if the power button is stuck. While not expensive, a poor quality product when you need something reliable for a pet not feeling well.
