FAQ
A: For pets with liver issues, we would recommend consulting your veterinarian to see if they would recommend using Glandex with your pets condition. Generally, Glandex is not recommended for pets with liver issues. The warning comes from the combination of Quercetin and Bromelain and their interaction with certain types of medication which, when metabolized, could cause issue in the liver.
A: Glandex original strength and Glandex Advanced are patented for the same purpose—to support anal gland health in pets. The Glandex Advanced Vet Strength Powder is formulated with higher levels of some of the same all-natural ingredients as our best-selling original strength formula, and include a few new ingredients specifically for pets who need a higher level of support.
A: For most pets, our Glandex original strength Anal Gland Support is a great first step in supporting their anal gland health. We recommend 3-5 weeks of consistent use before assessing how well the original strength formula is addressing your pet’s needs. If your pet has been taking the original strength product for the recommended length of use and your pet requires further anal gland support, then our Glandex Advanced Vet Strength powder is a great next option.
A: One formula is not better than the other, as both are veterinarian-formulated to address anal gland issues in pets. The purpose of one over the other is based on the level of anal gland support that your pet needs. The Glandex Advanced Vet Strength Powder expands on the benefits found in our Anal Gland Support powder and both formulas are patented for the same purpose: to support pets’ anal gland health.
A: Choosing which Glandex formulation to start with should be based on the level of anal gland supports your pet needs. For most pets, our Glandex original formula is a great starting point. For pets that are known to need higher levels of anal gland support, our Glandex Advanced Vet Strength would be a good first option. With both options, it is important to start at half the recommended amount for the first week before increasing to the recommended amount.
A: If your pet is doing well with our original Glandex formula, there is no need to switch to the Glandex Advanced Vet Strength chews. However, if you have been using our original Glandex formula and are not seeing adequate support for your pet’s anal gland health, then we recommend transitioning to our Advanced formula. Note: if your pet is already using the original Glandex formula, we recommend continuing for at least 3-5 weeks before switching to our Advanced formula.
A: It is not recommended, and it is not necessary to give both Glandex formulas together. Instead, we recommend choosing the formula that best suits the level of support that your dog needs. Giving your pet the original powder and the Advanced Vet Strength powder at the same time could lead to potential stomach or digestive upset.
A: If your dog has been taking the original strength chews consistently for 3-5 weeks without seeing benefits, we recommend transitioning to our Advanced formula. Please note that when starting our Advanced formula, you should do so at half the recommended amount for the first week, then slowly increase to the recommended amount.
A: As with all our Glandex supplements, it is recommended to start at half of the recommended amount for the first week before gradually increasing to the full recommended amount (listed by weight on the label/packaging). If you are starting your pet on the Glandex Advanced Vet Strength for the first time or transitioning from the original strength Glandex, we also recommend starting with half the recommended amount for the first week and then increasing to the full amount.
A: All our Glandex supplements are safe, contain all-natural ingredients, and are veterinarian-formulated and recommended. When starting your pet on our Glandex Supplements or transitioning your pet to the Advanced chews, giving half the recommended amount for the first week allows their bodies to adjust to the increased amounts of fiber and other key ingredients. While side effects are uncommon, it is possible for mild stomach upset to occur like adjusting to high fiber diets.
A: While it is safe to increase the recommended serving of the Glandex Advanced Vet Strength Powder, we recommend giving enough time for your dog's system to adjust to the full serving prior to increasing.

There hasn’t been enough time since I started using Vetnique Labs Supplement for Dogs to fully assess the results, but so far I’m happy with it. My dog doesn’t seem to mind it being mixed into his food and still eats everything without hesitation, which is a big plus. I’ve also noticed his stool is a little firmer than usual. The only issue I had was that the scoop was buried all the way at the bottom of the container, so I had to dig through the powder to get to it. I plan to keep using this product to see how it continues to work. My dog has a lot of stomach issues that usually make his stool soft, so anything that helps firm it up is absolutely worth it. The fact that he doesn’t mind the flavor makes it even better.

We used this product on our 8 year old bulldog that has hx of trouble expressing her glands over a period of a couple weeks. We are not sure that that had any impact on her issues - we didnt see a major difference. With that being said maybe over a longer period of time we would have seen benefits so it may be worthwhile.
Easy to Use Plus it Works!

This powder really worked well. I'm so glad because a few of my dogs (I have 5) were doing the scooting boogie. The powder makes it easy to give, just dust over their normal food and they eat it all up. They all seem to like the flavor and more importantly it works. No more scooting or spinning at my house. I'll definitely keep using Vetnique Labs Advance Duck and Bacon Flavor Rear Gland Powder to keep from having to have my dogs behind glands expressed. Relieved that my dogs feel so much better.

My dog likes the flavor of the Glandex bacon flavored powder. She is a chronic boot scooter. I have noticed that she has been scooting less since I started her on the Glandex approximately three weeks ago. I am hoping that the longer she is on the Glandex the more improvement I will see. I would recommend the Glandex for anyone who has a dog that scoots. I have been mixing it in with her food and she likes the flavor. I was concerned that she might not eat it because she is very picky about her food. I might try the treat form for her the time, just for comparison.
Great for pups with a less sensitive stomach.

My dogs absolutely love the taste of this product! The difference between my two dogs: I have a pitbull that has a stomach of steel. She had no adverse side effects and her bowel movements seemed to become more regular. My Australian shepherd on the other hand…. She’s got a bit of a sensitive stomach and the noises that her digestive system makes after using this product, you could hear from a mile away. It did also increase gas.

So far this seems to be improving the scooting (or as we call it “sledding” haha). Our pup doesn’t seem to mind the taste as he still eats with no hesitation and the sledding after coming inside after a bathroom break seems to be improving. Time will tell if he stops completely, but so far so good. Removed a star as I had to go fishing for the scoop the first time using it, but the powder is so fine, I guess with shipping that should be expected.

My pup has not been on it long but from what I can tell it seems to be helping her occasional AG(cannot type full gland name) issues. She doesn’t lick as much and she goes potty easy, she also seems to really like it on her kibble too! Would recommend for someone looking for a supplement to ease AG troubles. Would consider a higher score if I could wait and see how she does long term.

The product did not include the small measuring scoop. I followed the suggested amount for first-time use, but it did not agree with my dog. Once we stopped using it, things returned to normal. Please use caution, as this product may not be suitable for dogs with sensitive stomachs.

Jeffery likes the flavor of the duck and bacon flavor. Not too sure how long we need to use the product for best results though? He doesn't seem to be dragging his heiny as much as before. We got to the vet next month so I will have her look at it. He was just expressed in June and build up has been slow. It has only had to be done once and he is 4. (he also eats mulch, sticks and anything else we don't catch him with)!!!!! We will continue to use and access a final conclusion soon.

While I've been Vetnique supplements for a while, it wasn't totally effective at keeping her glands empty. However, since I began using this product (as well as the same-strength chews) I've been getting great reports from the vet techs who know her history with full glands every 6 weeks. The last 3 times Nora Jean was brought back to me after getting her glands checked, she hasn't had anything there for them to get out. This poor pup is 8 years old, on her fifth home, and has had glands issues her whole life (as per her vet records). I think I can safely say she's as happy about the results as I am.
