Once you get past the first few wipes, which aren't as moist as those deeper into the jar, they are great. A good amount of product and as a result, the pads don't feel as thick and unwieldy. They fit well into my GSD's ears, and there's room for my forefinger or pinky, as appropriate, to get into the nooks and crannies without hurting my boy. Not sure how they'd work for a small dog, tho. I'm able to get out a lot of gunk, and that's minimized his digging and scratching. Someone mentioned needing to wash your hands after using the wipes because of the amount of product and the smell, but why wouldn't you wash your hands after using something like this anyway?

It had a good smell, didn’t sting the ears but to really get in a clean bear the pad was too harsh to wipe around their ears. I have three dogs tow large and one medium and I felt like I would hurt them if I cleaned them too hard

They don't break down when you are trying to collect them out of the container. They are very saturated, so be prepared to wash your hands with dish soap or wear some gloves.
