Have to give Charlie (cat) Pepcid and Prednisolone. This worked better than Pill Pockets for me. You have to remember that dogs and cats have a great sense of smell, wash your hands, Knick off a small piece of this wrap, warm it in your fingers, use a pair of tweezers to pick up the pill, place in the flattened portion of the wrap, smooth the wrap over the pill and give it to your pet. If you touch the pill with your fingers, the scent from the pill gets on the wrap and they can smell it and might not take it. Charlie thinks it’s another treat. I use a pill cutter to cut the pills smaller. Don’t cut capsules though. Wrap has a kind of bacon smell.

I must give my little girl a pill twice a day and she stopped thinking it was fun to let me pop it in her mouth. Hiding in her food was not making sure she got it - so I went looking for pill pockets in the pet food store, OUCH - they got VERY expensive and I remembered I had this stuff before. Really seems to be acceptable to the cats and way less costly!

I bought this when I found out my cat would need a pill twice daily for the rest of his life. He is NOT easy to trick into taking meds, so I wasn't hopeful, but it works for now! I break one of his usual treats in half, wrap his pill in a small bit of this putty, and then sandwich the putty-pill between the treat halves. Almost 100 pills down without any problem so far. (I did give him treats a few times with the pill wrap on them but without the pill to acclimate him first for a few days, but either way he has never seemed to mind the taste or smell.) Like other reviews have noted, the jar contents dry out sort of quickly, so I do wish they sold a smaller one. But that's a very minor negative as long as it works!

Wrong Consistency

This product is near impossible to get out of the jar without getting it under your fingernails. It also does not stick togrther, or to the pill well.

I’ve tried to give my babygirl (she’s a senior kitty) l-lysine in a couple other forms and another granule type brand and she refused to eat them, but she’ll scarf this right down - just sprinkle a scoop on top like you’re tossing some flaky finishing salt atop a gourmet meal you just made and perfecto!

I thought I'd try this pill wrap for my kitty who has to take thyroid meds. When I got it, the sticker on the top of the container said it is bacon flavored. No where in the product description or photos does it state that it's bacon flavored. I wasted my money & feel misled on the description...my cat will not eat this.
