How old is a dog before consider Senior
Answer by • Dec 25, 2017
In general, the typical range for a dog to be considered a senior is from 7-10 years of age. A larger dog will have a shorter life span and be a senior closer to 7 years of age, whereas a small breed pet has a longer life expectancy and be considered senior closer to 10 years of age.
How big is the tablet? My dog has a hard time taking big pills.
Answer by • Mar 02, 2019
These chewable tablets measure approximately 1/2 inch long x 1/4 inch wide and thick. We also carry the VetriScience Canine Plus Senior Multivitamin Everyday Health Bite-Sized Dog Soft Chews.
humans shouldn't take calcium CARBONATE because it is a stomach acid reducer and other vitamins NEED the stomach acid to break them down. Isn't it the same way with dogs? So why is it found here?
Answer by • Oct 02, 2019
Calcium carbonate is an essential mineral in your dog’s diet. It aides bone growth, teeth resilience, eyesight, and prevents clotting. If you do not feed your dog enough calcium, serious health repercussions can follow. But it is also important you do not feed your dog too much calcium carbonate, as it could negate the effects of other essential minerals like iron and zinc. Calcium carbonate is usually added to your dog’s meal in a powder form, but for quantities and further advice you should consult your local vet.
Is there phosphorus in this supplement? Need to find something with a balance between calcium and phosphorus. Thank you
Answer by • Jul 02, 2020
There is a minimum of 1.60% and a maximum of 1.76% of phosphorus per chew.
