Are these given daily or only as needed. How long before they take affect? Thank you

These chews can be given daily or on an as-needed basis. It is safe to double or triple the dose in times of increased stress. It takes 20-30 minutes for the chews to show effect and lasts up to four hours.

How do i stop these from getting hard ? I seal the bag properly and it's still hard now..

VetriScience chews will never be soft like fudge, however they should be able to be broken between the owner’s fingers (unless they have severe arthritis). Sometimes a piece of bread can be placed into the bag, to help them keep softer.

Has a definite positive effect

For our chronically anxious dog, this supplement is a help. This will not "cure" anxiety especially if it is a long term issue, but for us it's most helpful in conjunction

For our chronically anxious dog, this supplement is a help. This will not "cure" anxiety especially if it is a long term issue, but for us it's most helpful in conjunction with a prescription medication as kind of a booster. Even without an Rx medication, this is a good "take the edge off" supplement in certain situations, such as if she were a bit nervous on a hike where we might meet unfamiliar dogs. But for things like thunder phobia, she needs to have her thunder medication on board and then this supplement will enhance what that med is doing. It's very palatable so she is more than happy to take it.

Does not work - don't recommend

Disappointing, it does not work! We have a 9 year old GS that recently began displaying anxiety, confusion at times and at times a little disorientation. We've had

Disappointing, it does not work! We have a 9 year old GS that recently began displaying anxiety, confusion at times and at times a little disorientation. We've had several vet visits and all testing imaginable. Everything has come back "normal" so the vet believes these recent changes in behavior may simply be age related. We followed the dosing directions as listed on the beg - unfortunately observed 0 improvement/changes in our fury's behavior. We also have a 5 yr old 72lb pup who gets SUPER anxious going to the vet - tried these on her too, also no positive reaction or lessening her anxiety. These were NOT cheap, so sadly I don't recommend.

My dogs like the treats and they are soft. I’m not sure if they work. I have tried 2-4x the dose and haven’t noticed a difference. Too expensive to give them 8 treats
