I was a little shocked when we got our new puppy at 4 months old. The breeder informed us she was on this type of food and not to switch until she is around one year if we did plan on switching. So we ordered this one. We also have two other older dogs and I was surprised that our other dogs now turn their noses up at their regular food and will only eat this! Our dogs seem to have more energy and eat less with this food- they even switched to a scheduled feeding just so they get some of this. I would highly recommend this dog food for all stages of dogs, including puppies because its high quality and contains less fillers unlike the dog food we fed our dogs previously
My dog has bad skin and very picky and she loves this stuff it’s really good for them and helps her out a lot I switch from pro plan and I haven’t regretted it at all for all dogs not just big dogs my chihuahua loves it more than my pit
We switched our newly rescued Olde English Bulldog/American Bulldog 11 month old to this food after giving him $120 (20lb) bags of another “high quality” brand. His stool on the other brand was always messy and he was going way too much for 3 cups a day. I went on an OEB FB Page and asked what people were feeding their pups… Victor Hi-Pro Plus was the #1 response of almost 50 people! I asked my vet her thoughts about it and she agreed that Victor is a quality brand. Since switching (2nd - 60lb bag in), his stool has been perfect, he is going much less and he seems to love the food, though I’m pretty sure this big boy would eat just about anything. His coat looks healthy & shiny and his weight is perfect… he is a happy guy!
I’ve used this before. This first time I bought a 50 pound bag. My dogs absolutely wouldn’t eat it my sons dog a lab ate small amount didn’t eat anymore had stomach issues afterwards. I can’t explain what’s going on but paid almost 100.00 for this bag an can’t use it. I donated it to local shelter hope they can use it for the animals that come in .
Victor was the same brand the breeder used, so I have been feeding my pup with it for several months. Everything was fine up until a few months ago. She hates the smell and will spit it out. Now she won’t even go near it. At first, I thought maybe I had gotten a “bad batch” so I ended up throwing the rest out and opening up a new bag. She took a few bites, then back to the same thing. I reached out to a few other friends who also had their pups on this, same thing.. we resorted to buying additional broth topping just to entice them to eat. It worked a little, but she would still eat around it and lick the broth off the top. I believe Something changed with their quality. And smelling the food, Something smells “ off”. ( even the fresh food). I switched to a different brand and she is scarfing it down and loves it. It’s also very hard to transition from this ( mixing in with the old food) because it’s so bad, she eats around it. I do not recommend.
We started using Victory about 4 years ago and have noticed a healthier change in our Fur Family. They have more Energy, the coats look better and they eat less. The waist is a lot smaller then with any other K9 food we have tried. You can not go wrong with victory’s food we switch between the active dogs and puppies and the Victory Hero. It works. Twist gets around a lot better and so does Dixie, my two older dogs, by using the Hero in between bags.
I have bought this food two times. The first bag was fine, but about halfway into the second bag the dogs just stopped eating it. My dogs are not picky and eat just about everything. Unfortunately, I’m going to have to throw out half the bag and switch to a different food.
My dog loves this brand of food. This flavor though is particularly strong smelling. It stayed in dogs breath long after eating, and very strong smell if left out in the house. This brand food though is the best we have tried with her.
My puppies just started this food and almost through the first 50lb bag. Thier weight has picked up and their coats are noticably softer and shinier.
Found exactly the type of food that we needed and preferring and shipping were not only a breeze, but with quick home delivery.
