No artificially based preservatives are added to our product.

Where can I find the Lot Code and Best By date on a bag of Victor?
The Lot Code Number and Best By Date can be found on the back side of the bag (New Poly Packaging) above the VICTOR Logo near the top or (Older Paper Packaging) near the bottom seal below the labeling. The Best By Date is one year from the date the product was packaged for what should still be suitable to be fed up to that date as a guideline. Provided the product has been in favorable conditions will determine how suitable for consumption it should be. Keeping the product from being exposed to excessive heat for any amount of time is the best way to maintain the expected shelf life of one year.

Can you tell me the size of the kibble?
Answer by • Nov 29, 2018
Please reference to the photo below. The kibble for this Victor Professional Formula is on the left.
What exactly is "Grain Sorghum" the second listed ingredient?
Answer by • Sep 25, 2018
Grain Sorghum is a food grain used for humans and animals. It is similar to corn, but contains more protein and fat. Sorghum is also gluten-free and non-GMO.
Based on the feeding chart I'm I suppose to give my pup that amount of cups per meal or in total for the day ?
Answer by • Nov 22, 2017
The feeding instructions are how much to feed your dog per day. It may be divided into smaller meals if preferred.
Switched from Victor Pro, as I wanted a bigger food pellet since one of my dogs was speed eating. Also, didn't think they needed the 30/20 make up anymore since they weren't as active.
Fast forward to the 3rd bag of food since switching and the last 2 bags the dogs have not been finishing their food as they usually do in one sitting. My lab won't even start eating when I put her food down as usual, and vomited a few days ago.
Not sure what changed or why this Victor variation is that different, but I am switching back to the pro for my dogs.

DO NOT GIVE YOUR DOGS THIS
Decided to give this food to our dogs because I was out of our regular Wholesome food. I gave them each one cup due to it being new food and within thirty minutes they both were vomiting around the house uncontrollably. It took a good week for them to become normal again. I would come home from work to poop all over the house and them tearing up things out of the pantry… mind you they have never done this. Finally after them being on there dog food and raw diet they are completely back to normal. I threw this food away immediately after the first night. Chewy thankfully refunded my money. I’m not sure if this was a bad batch but I cannot recommend this brand.

Buyer beware
My 2yr.old boxer loved this food, until the new bag in Feb. 2023. He will no longer go near this food.
Called Chewy and was told ingredients did change and other pet owners were having the same issue with dog refusing to eat.
Shame on Victor for not making loyal buyers aware of this.
These companies are making money, they don't have to try and optimize at your pets health expense.
Now have find something healthy and tasty without the gradual transition.
I'm more then a little angry.

Best food I've found
We rescued a 3 year old APBT 2 months ago. The family that relinquished him had been feeding TOTW and we didn't want to change his food right away. This poor guy had stools that were the consistency of melting soft serve ice cream and terrible gas. I fed my previous dog Victor for fat seniors and she loved it so I decided to try Victor for him. Within 5 days of the food transition, his poops were hard and way less gas. I ended up switching him to only Victor and tossed the TOTW instead of finishing the 10 day transition. He gets 2 cups twice a day and chows it down. Beautiful coat, great weight, awesome solid poop. What more could a dogmom ask for?

Victor Professional
Every dog is different but this food works for my dogs, an Aussie and a Golden Retriever. Solid poo poo, good ingredients, and the dogs will train for it at mealtime. Seems to be above average over the counter kibble.
For those that give low reviews to a product for shipping issues or because your dog won't eat it; that is not what the review is for. Was the food fresh or of good quality, did it make your dog sick, or was the product somehow not as advertised? That is what people are concerned with when shopping. Stop adding to the reviews because it showed up with a while in the box.

golden owner
I started my dogs on Victor several years ago upon recommendation of a breeder. The pup had been given it so we decided to continue. They love it. Now with a new addition, it is still a hit. They are healthy and have not gone to the vet except for routine visits. The solidness of the poop is definitely a bonus.

Poodles&Lab
My 5 year old standard poodle, 4 year old Lab , & 8 month Standard Poodle have all grown up on Victor Pro Sport. Only , maybe too full of energy and vitality, ( I say in jest,), they are happy healthy and active dogs. No bad issues at all.

My Corso loves it
My dog has tried several different Victor dog foods, Realtree, Performance and Realtree Energy and this one is his favorite. Before getting my boy I researched dog foods and come to find out that Purina, Iams and Science Diet have had many recalls and their ingredients are not very quality. It's amazing how marketing has suckered many into believing these brands are quality, when in reality they are overpriced and not good. Victor dog foods on the other hand provide quality foods without an absurd price tag. Will always give my boy Victor dog foods.

Excellent food and a good value
We've been feeding Victor for a few years to our border collie/heeler mix. She'll be six next month, and people always compliment how soft and pretty her coat is. I've tried the High Energy formula and the Beef & Brown Rice, and I feel that this gives us the best results for both weight maintenance and her satisfaction (she isn't nearly as excited to get the Beef and brown rice formula, and I didn't feel she needed quite as much crude fat as she moves into mid-life and we're not hiking daily). She is quite an active dog but does not "work" in a traditional border collie sense and she seems to do quite well with this, we feed once a day and supplement with a lot of treats. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for value without sacrificing quality.

Victor's Food
The breeder for my standard, wirehair dachshund feeds her dogs this brand. We have continued for the last 6 years for all my dogs (3). I add other items to the kibble bowl but the core of their meals is the Victor's Professional dog kibble. All are healthy and do not have any allergies or food complications. I am happy with the product.
