Keep fresh water available at all times.
It is best to make a transition from one brand of cat food to another gradually, over a period of a week to 10 days. Gradually replace your current food with VICTOR increasing the percentage of the mix to 100% within 7-10 days. We recommend taking your cat to the Veterinarian 1-2 times per year for Health checkups.
This food was one of the few consistently available during the stressful pet food shortages during Covid. Our vet gave it the greenlight when we couldn't source our usual Purina for a while. Our finicky female is picky and we've had to return other brands she wouldn't eat. We're on our 4th bag of this brand and she still loves it. Her weight is consistent and she is playful and active in the evenings. Minimal hairballs. Many mom and pop pet stores carry Victor pet food, but when they don't have it in stock when I need it, Chewy always does.
I have 4 cats. All very different from each other. Finding a dry food, that interests them and one that they will all eat has been problematic!!!! This one looked interesting. I read the reviews and gave it a try! Thank goodness, my cats all enjoy eating Victor's cat food!
I have six cats and they all have restricted diet needs. One of them cannot have anything fishing it otherwise he gets his urinary gets blocked with crystals. He almost died twice having food with fish in it. He will eat the Purina pro urinary track health it has been on it for years but sometimes he will sneak and get the dry food to. He does not like those dry Purina version. So after multiple trials of cat food this is the one that all the cats like but is healthy for him too.
So upon opening this food, my cat did eat some - later that day and days later - nope. Seemed okay - decent size, smell, ingredients but he just wouldn't eat it and I did return.
All 5 of my cats love their victor food. They come running when I have to refill the dish.
