Great for dogs with sensitive stomachs. As a rescuer, I have used all varieties of Victor foods and the brand never disappoints.
It’s the only way my Great Dane will take his pills is in this canned food.
Dogs liked it on their dry food. I bought it for a treat on kibble. It’s a very thick pate. If using as a topping on dry food you will have to mix with some water.
We switched to the victor dry kibble because it had a higher fat content than the food we were using. I mix the VICTOR Lamb & Rice Formula Paté Canned Dog Food in with the dry to give it even more of a fat content. My standard poodle seems to really like the flavor. It does not have a strong smell when open. We do keep any leftover in the refrigerator till next use. My girl even likes it cold. We wanted a food with high fat to add a little fat content to my young standard poodle and so far we are happy with the results this food seems to bring.
I'm not sure how to rate it; I have an older bernise mountain dog cross who has always been a ravenouse eater, would eat literally anything you hand him or drop on the floor.... I began using the victor senior healthy weight dry food and at first it was fine but after awhile he backed off eating the dry food so I decided to add a canned food and at first he was back to readily eating but after a couple of weeks now he just isn't really interested in eating at all. but like I said, he is older (12) and maybe that's what the problem is.
First off, this is a great formula, my dogs love it. However, I've done my research and this is the identical formula to: 1. "Abound Lamb and Brown Rice Entree" (available at any Kroger/kroger brand store, my local store has 1.49/can) 2. "4health Lamb and Rice Formula" (available at any Tractor Supply Company, $1.20/can) If you don't believe me compare the ingredients and guaranteed analysis. This is simply (good) generically available dog food branded by Victor, but available under other brands cheaper.
Small dog, senior. He ate it after growing weary of his old food and it seems to be a good topper on his kibble for now until I rotate his other brand back in the rotation. No stomach issues to date. Thank you.
She’s a picky dog, but this formulation was a hit, and extremely fast delivery. Chewy never fails to impress!
I give maybe one teaspoon or less of this in our Dogs dry food bowl to give their food some texture and our Dogs love it. They like this flavor and the Liver taste the best. And their bowls are spotless after they eat.
One day serving of this food gave my 12 lb shichon diarrhea for 3 days. I mixed with Victor kibble that she has been on for 7 months.
