I bought this spray to use when I moved from Vermont to Florida. It works! I had already sprayed the truck before leaving and used it during the trip. My one-year-old cat slept most of the trip on day one. On day two I forgot about it when I started out. Poppi was crying and panting. I remember the spray, and within 20 minutes, she was calm for the rest of the 12-hour drive.

Virbac ZENIFEL calming spray for cats is effective for our stubborn feline. Two or three sprays in strategic spots around a large bedroom or small living room is all it took to have our dog-hostile kitty purring, albeit at first continuing to hiss an occasional reminder warning. While she remains suspicious, at least she’s noticeably more tolerant of our Corgi. In the three years they’ve lived together in our home this is a first. With continued use we’ve made major progress, plus the kitty simply likes it regardless of if the dog is nearby. The active effect lasts 4-6 hours but the positive behavior modification seems to be permanent. She’s generally cautious but not an overly timid cat, but had never been around dogs & visa-versa. ZENIFEL spray is just what she needed to help her feel more secure, and thus bolder overall. Plus her calm contentment lingers beyond the initial active effect period. We plan to keep buying it because it lends to her contentment, & since it’s concentrated it is an economical purchase.

I got this spray along with some other items to 1. Calm Ricky Bobby down so she stops attacking her sister Ninja and 2. So Ninja relaxes and isn't so scared all

I got this spray along with some other items to 1. Calm Ricky Bobby down so she stops attacking her sister Ninja and 2. So Ninja relaxes and isn't so scared all the time. Both are cats btw. I sprayed some in the bedroom and Ninja came in first. She definitely noticed it but didn't seem to act any different. Then came Ricky Bobby. She also noticed it and I almost think it made her worse. She went right over to Ninja and attacked her. Not the effect I was going for. I have another product downstairs that they do not react to as much. I've used some plug ins before and I think they worked the best.

After I got my Cat, Edison (1 year old) from a local rescue shelter. When I got him home, he hid underneath a chair for almost 2 days in a row. He would come out at night use the litter box and drink some water. No food. I used this calming spray 1 day before I took him to my Veterinarian to get some Cat "Xanax" for anxiety. After about half a day of spraying it around,.Edison came out of hiding. That night he was up near my face, rubbing his face and head all over mine. Part of this change in behavior is due to time. But, I think this calming spray helped significantly. Certainly worth a try before you take your Cat to the Veterinarian for a prescription anxiety medication

Didn’t work for my cat

I hoped this would work to help calm my cat but it had no effect on him. It may work for others but it just didn’t do anything for mine.

The spray seemed to help a little for travel anxiety when I took my cat to the vet. He was quieter in the car. However the smell of the product is terrible. The diffusers from the same brand were ineffective. At least with spray you can see and control how much is being dispersed.
