Should I keep them in the freezer/fridge?
I know there's a cat version of this particular treat but can cats have the dog version since you get 2oz versus the cat version you only get .8oz?

How many hearts are in a two ounce bag?

Great!

Feed raw food diet for many years two Airedale terriers and two Pomeranians and this comes in very handy for them. And it doesn’t hurt that they absolutely love them. They will jump on top of each other when they hear that bag open and they will get it eat it and run back for more. It’s very good for them and they love it.

Dog who hates food LOVES these!

My dog is a nightmare about food & treats. It has been a struggle all his life to find things he likes. I have never seen him like an edible thing so much in his life & I am SO thankful these are here! He goes absolutely feral for these things. It's ridiculous coz I can open any other bag that seems to sound exactly the same & he doesn't care but if I so much as NUDGE the bag of these he appears at my feet out of no where. He knows the difference from this bag & every other bag in the house & he WILL demand that one be put in his mouth if you dare touch the bag, even accidentally. The prince pomeranian gets what the prince wants when it comes to these. Haha. I'm just SO thankful to have finally found a treat that will get his two braincells to focus. It only took 10 years lmao. Rip my wallet, guys. It's being held hostage by a pomeranian who now has an addiction to vital essentials freeze dried chicken hearts. 10/10. Would recc to everyone & anyone! Espec to owners of picky eaters. C:

Don't pay the cat tax!

The same brand, the exact same product, right here on the chewy website: $5.26/oz for the dog-marketed chicken hearts, $8.12/oz for the cat-marketed chicken hearts. Literally the same product.

Don’t Pay the Cat Tax

I buy the dog version for my cat since it’s cheaper and a bigger bag. My kitten loves these and they’re so healthy! I have to cut them up for him but they’re not too stinky so it’s no problem.

Nice and big!

I ordered chicken hearts from another company a couple of months ago, and they were these tiny hard little petrified things. My dog would not touch them. These hearts are a good size and texture. My dog is happy!

Love this brand!

I love Vital Essentials as a brand overall, but I especially love these treats. My dog is not very good motivated, especially after my senior dog (his packmate) passed away 2 months ago, but he is slowly getting back to being himself and these freeze-dried treats have helped tremendously. He has a very super sensitive stomach and gets very sick when trying new foods and treats, even when introduced slowly. But these freeze dried single ingredient treats are perfect and do not upset his super sensitive stomach! They make great treats, training treats and toppers when he’s being picky during mealtime.

I use these for my cats! Yes it says for dogs but save money and skip the cat tax and purchase these. My cats go feral over them.
