Let me be the first to warn those with sensitive stomaches that this product does have a strong fish smell, which is one of the reasons why I think my dogs love it so much. The freeze dried pieces are on the larger side, but soft, so they are perfect for a treat or meal topper. I also love that I can crumble it on top as a dusting of sorts.. they eat it no matter how I serve it! The fact that it’s healthy is just icing on the cake for me.

I tried this product first as a treat. The pieces are HUGE for my small terriers but they gobbled them right up. I was unsure of the whitefish flavor and smell

I tried this product first as a treat. The pieces are HUGE for my small terriers but they gobbled them right up. I was unsure of the whitefish flavor and smell but the dogs loved it! It is mixed with lamb which they have always enjoyed. I next tried it as a topper for their kibble. They really seem to enjoy this product. I love that it is USA made and the bag is extremely large and a great value.

I get Radar and Miss Midnight all sorts of freeze dried goodies and usually the size is quite insufficient for big dogs. These are perfect! The treats have a scent but it's not foul. I would describe it as fresh fish. I always wait a bit before writing a review to see how the treats make it through. Admittedly my girls have strong stomachs so it may not be worth the mention ever but good stools all around! Can be offered dry or soaked, as a meal or mix in.

This has been so well received by my dogs and a couple of my cats. I like that the item is high quality, high value reward to use as a treat. I have hid them around

This has been so well received by my dogs and a couple of my cats. I like that the item is high quality, high value reward to use as a treat. I have hid them around my house and had the dogs go on a sniff hunt, that is when the cats help out. It also has worked great as a meal topper. One of my dogs has a texture issue, this is easy to crumble up and sprinkle on top of his kibble and make a type of slurry with his bone broth. My other dog picks the pieces of the nibs out immediately. I also like that this is shelf stable for a time, so I can offer a variety of toppers and not have to worry about spoilage.

I didn’t think there was anything that could motivate him to get off the floor ( Tibetans are genetically prone to low energy unless there’s something in it for them) Adding this as a light topper to his HIGHLY expensive premium kibble has been a game changer. He now shows me where the Vital Essentials and his kibble is kept when it’s meal time instead of his “I’ll get to it when I feel like “ attitude.

Do you smell what I smell?

My dogs all enjoy the soft nibs, I do use them as a food topper. I would suggest that you not take a breath while you are opening the bag, because the lamp/whitefish
