The smaller kibble size is specially designed for smaller dogs. We recommend the original Zignature Lamb Limited Ingredient Formula Grain-Free Dry Dog Food which is suitable for dog's of all breed sizes.

Does this have the right nutrition for puppies? Usually there are puppy foods and adult dog foods. How is this suitable for both?

Both of my dogs have allergies to chicken, grains and potato. Although the veterinarian field say that “a grain allergy is rare”, my boys itch like crazy, lose hair, etc. Then, came the chicken, then potato. So when I found this food without any of those ingredients I was happy. I was even happier when my two dogs eat it with no issues! Thank you Zignature for making this recipe. Please don’t change it!

No grains means it needs mixed

I found a recent FDA warning that lists this food, specifically by name, related to the formulation with legumes on lieu of grains. It made me worry, so we asked

I found a recent FDA warning that lists this food, specifically by name, related to the formulation with legumes on lieu of grains. It made me worry, so we asked to return it to chewy. I simply don’t feel comfortable giving it to our pups until more research is done on the whole “grain free” thing. Chewy asked that we donate it, so were taking it to a homeless shelter to be given to folks with pets who can’t otherwise afford to feed them. Something is better than nothing! I will say, our dogs seemed to enjoy this food so if you’ve got pups with grain allergies and/or picky eaters this is probably a good move.
