Learning From Nature
Zignature took all of nature's best ingredients and added key nutrients to create a dog food with complete nutrition. In these Physiologically Tuned formulas, meat always comes first, and they've eliminated common allergy-inducing proteins and fillers that are hard to digest. These grain- and gluten-free recipes feature premium proteins, low glycemic carb sources and a limited number of ingredients. It's exactly what your pup should be eating—nothing more, and nothing less.
Meat-First Philosophy
The first ingredient in any list is the most important, because it tells you what the majority of the food is made of. Some commercial pet foods take the easy way out with high-starch carbs near the top of the list. In each of Zignature's dry foods, meat not only comes first, but also second. A quality animal protein source starts off the recipe, followed by a meat or fish meal for an extra helping of the amino acids your pet needs and the flavor he craves.

Recipe for a Happy Tummy
All of Zignature's formulas are free of the most common canine allergen—chicken. And that includes chicken eggs, meal and by-products. As hypoallergenic foods, both wet and dry formulas also avoid the usual sources of stomach upset, including gluten, grains, corn, wheat, soy and dairy. Zignature never uses binding agents that are full of simple carbs and starches; instead, these recipes have low glycemic legumes that deliver extra protein and fiber.
Simple Is Best
Zignature isn't just the diet nature intended—it's even better. They've improved on nature's recipe to give your pup the right amount of each nutrient, and they've done it with the fewest possible ingredients. Just like meals in the wild, these recipes are limited in content for easy digestion and less chance of food sensitivities. These limited ingredient diets have single protein sources, so they're easy to rotate to give your dog a taste of something new.

Only the Best Ingredients
To create these nourishing dishes, Zignature gathered the best possible ingredients from trusted sources around the world. Trout, salmon and whitefish all come from the Pacific waters of the Northwest; turkey is raised in the Midwest; duck comes from farms in Western France; kangaroo is brought over from Australia; and venison and lamb are delivered from New Zealand farmlands. Healthy fruits and veggies are harvested from several North American farms based on the season.
Ingredients
Zignature makes nutritious formulas with no artificial flavors, preservatives or colors.
CHICKPEAS: Low-glycemic legumes that promote stable blood sugar and provide an excellent source of dietary fiber, extra protein and copper.
FLAXSEED: Derived from whole, ground seeds of the Flax plant for an outstanding offering of omega-3 fatty acids for coat health, plus soluble fiber for digestion.
ALFALFA MEAL: A natural grass that's rich in vitamins A and C, niacin and calcium, and it also makes a great source of protein and fiber.
SUNFLOWER OIL: Pressed from sunflower oil, it supplies the omega-6 essential fatty acids that your pet needs to maintain skin and coat health.

Food Allergies? Look no further!
By Sammie on Feb 26, 2021
My 12yo pitbull has had severe allergies the past three years. We finally narrowed it down to food allergies after an at home allergy test, since our vet was all about managing symptoms and not finding the source. He had constant hot spots, severe itching, ear infections, skin infections followed up my monthly allergy shots (each shot $100+) and daily antihistamines. We learned he was allergic to chicken, salmon, halibut, duck, turkey, rabbit, shellfish, wheat, oats, and corn. Zignature helped us find a limited ingredient dry dog food that fit all of King’s needs. We chose Lamb limited ingredient grain free dry dog food. Great premium food for puppies
By ConnieNanny on Feb 1, 2021
I breed Goldendoodles and this food has been wonderful to get them started off in the right direction. I tried it with our last litter since the first litter was on chicken puppy food and they had continuous diarrhea. I was pleasantly surprised to find this lamb formual seemed to be perfect for their little digestive systems. Perfect poop every time. I feed it to the mom and an older puppy as well. Works great for these dogs and their sensitvie stomachs. Sending a bag home with each puppy!

Helped my boy
By BaileyBug on Jan 8, 2021
For years my pug had issues with UTI's and skin issues and dull fur. I tried science and prescription diet from the vet with no change or improvement. A friend who was a vet tech at the time told me to try this brand with the lamb formula because its a very easy protein to digest, in the past 7 years my boy has had 0 UTIs Nd his coat is shiny and his skin healthy. I'll be a lifer with this brand. I dont think reviews should be about customer service or picky eating dogs. So here is a 5 star review about the actual product. Its amazing!

Good Stuff
By EssAyy on Feb 7, 2021
Our GSD puppy has only ever been on a Zignature diet and is allergic to chicken/poultry so we tried the salmon and white fish recipe but she didn't show much interest in eating. We switched to lamb recently and she eats her whole bowl in one sitting now. Success!!

Dogs love it
By Sabine on Feb 22, 2021
I just had to change food because one of my dogs developed a chicken allergy. They love this food and nobody got an upset stomach. That is a win in our house!

This was a free gift for our inconvenience bc of chewy’s mistakes
By Traveling on Oct 16, 2020
Our dogs love this food. And the reason why they sent the food is bc, of the lack of customer service by chewy and the pharmacy, a pet parent and pharmacy should never be placed in the middle to do their job. And the vets should be more on top of it.

Yum! Love the new food!
By Jdalton on Jul 11, 2020
My 11 yr old pointer and 4 yr old lab have been eating another name-brand food but as the lab has Major allergies the vet recommended a limited ingredient diet for him. We tried a different limited ingredient salmon food but the lab kept trying to eat the pointer’s food instead. We tried this one and they’re both trying to eat around their original flavor to pick out the lamb bites. We may switch both dogs to this one since they both love it.
