We cook homemade food weekly for our four small pups, and two of them are notoriously picky — the kind that need several introductions before they’ll consider taking a bite. After mixing in the Vital Essentials Beef & Salmon Meal & Mixer Soft Nibs, even our pickiest eater dove right in. We rehydrate the nibs in hot water for about five minutes, then blend them into our homemade food. Total crowd-pleaser for our whole pack.

At first my Dog didn’t seem interested in this food. He sniffed it and walked away. I had to get him excited thinking he was getting a treat and got him to try it

He was hesitant at first but ate it. After trying it… he went to his bowl and continued to eat the rest. So he may not have loved it at first- but he started to after. (If he hated it- he wouldn’t have eaten any).

This was our first time feeding Vital Essentials. Of course I read the ingredients first, and was impressed: nothing but good meat stuff and some supplements! When I opened the bag all three dogs snapped to attention! They are large, soft, sort of crunchy puffs, and could be used as treats; or at least our dogs think so. We have a 12yo newf. I worry a lot about how much nutrition she's getting as her eating slows down. We've been feeding this with a little water and she's cleaning her bowl now. We also use the puffs as treats for our other dogs. Will purchase and recommend.

Ingredients seem good. Only issue is some of the fat dried in seems hard but that would be my only problem with it.
