You will find ground bone in the food that may vary in size, but is consumable by your pet. This recipe contains approximately 1.15% calcium on an as-fed basis (approximately 1.77% calcium on a dry matter basis).

Kind of greasy

I hadn't tried the patties before and was curious what my dog would think of them, as she loves the beef mini nibs. We both weren't impressed with the patties. My hands felt greasy after breaking them apart in smallish pieces so she could consume them easier. She liked the first three or four, but after that she has been reluctant to eat any more of them. I'm not sure if it's the somewhat dry texture and/or the taste that isn't too her liking. There wasn't any evidence of pieces of bone, so they must have been ground up enough to not be noticeable if they are in the mixture. There were bits of fat throughout the patties, which caused the greasy feeling. I wasn't concerned with her eating the bits of fat, as she is a high energy pooch and needs the calories.
