Not recommended
I purchased this ball for my syrian hamster. When I put it together I had to tape it so it wouldn't come apart. It doesn't snap tightly at all and I am afraid it will come apart while she is inside.
Very disappointed
Very disappointed in this. it is thin and only twists together. It "locks" together by twisting it. We have her older one, (it is just getting well used). I will spend a few extra dollars to get one that I can trust.
Ball came open
My hamster got out of this ball and escaped! Luckily we caught him, but terrifying none the less.
terrible, does not work
Very thin plastic. Does not stay closed on either end. I do not recommend.

Please don't use these, I beg of you!
Exercise balls are an absolute joke. They cause so much stress on your animals. Your animals can get their limbs stuck in the "ventilation" holes and have them ripped off or broken. Please don't use these. If you are getting this for your hamster/mice/rats/etc, give them a non-mesh, non-wire wheel like the Wodent Wheel, Kaytee Silent Spinner or a Kaytee Comfort Wheel. Syrian hamsters & rats need a 10"-12" wheel and dwarf hamsters & mice need a 8"-10" wheel but can use larger wheels. Chinchillas need a 12"-15" wheel. Guinea pigs, rabbits & ferrets don't need wheels. Bottom line, please don't use exercise balls or mesh wheels, they can cause serious, long lasting damage to your beloved fur-babies.
Great hamster ball with supervision
Our hamster definitely prefers this ball. She chewed the tabs out of the old one so she could escape. However, I find it is a good idea to confine her to one or two rooms so I can keep an eye on her while she is playing. She is very happy to get out of her cage at least once a day.
Completely useless :(
Not sure how this managed to get good reviews but the closures on the side to keep the hamster is do not lock shut whatsoever. Either returning if I can or throwing away.
Great interactive toy
Bought this as a gift - it arrived promptly and was much appreciated by grandkids and hamster, too.
Terrible Product
This ball is made from cheap plastic, the kind that cracks easily. In fact, it was already cracked when I received it. Even worse, though, is that the top doesn’t even lock into place. There are also indents on the inside of the ball that I would consider sharp and very uncomfortable for the hamster or other small animal trying to exercise. Imagine stepping on LEGOs while jogging around. I will return this item.
