Not great at detangling

I've never had a doodle before so maybe this is just how it goes when you want to brush a doodle but It doesn't flow easily through her hair. I need to start at

I've never had a doodle before so maybe this is just how it goes when you want to brush a doodle but It doesn't flow easily through her hair. I need to start at the bottom of her ears, let's say, I'm work very slowly up. I haven't had to do that with other dogs so it might be that this is how it is with doodles or this is just not the right tool for us.

This brush pulled too hard on my Whoodle's fine fur

I think this brush was causing my Whoodle puppy pain, because even though I brushed slowly and gently, she stopped wanting to get groomed and would run away when

I think this brush was causing my Whoodle puppy pain, because even though I brushed slowly and gently, she stopped wanting to get groomed and would run away when she saw the brush in my hand. Her fur is not that thick or long (about an inch), and I think this brush pulled too much. Maybe it's the Wheaten genetics with the soft, fine hair mixed with the sensitive Poodle skin. But I went back to using our old shorter-bristled slicker brush, and while she doesn't love it, she is not as resistant to being brushed.
