At first, this seemed like a nice turnout blanket for the price, but sadly it didn’t hold up in wet weather. After one day of turnout in the rain, it was soaked

At first, this seemed like a nice turnout blanket for the price, but sadly it didn’t hold up in wet weather. After one day of turnout in the rain, it was soaked through and my horse was wet underneath. We’re in the PNW so, unfortunately, the lack of quality waterproofing is a dealbreaker for me. The insulation and coverage of this blanket seems decent though, so maybe it would work better in drier climates.

Bought this for my geriatric mare who was having problems with blankets squeezing her withers since she is losing her top line in her old age. It fits her great, is a great weight, and is heavy duty. I love the attached neck cover as well, it gives her cover from the wind and snow and provides the relief she needs on her withers by spreading the pressure over her whole neck. She will likely have the blanket forever! Extra fast shipping and the best customer service from Chewy!
