Does it need to be refeigerated once opened? And if cold, can it be heated in the microwave?

Prior to opening, we recommend storing the topper in a cool, dry environment. Once opened, the unused portion should be refrigerated and fed to your pet within three days. In general, it is not recommended to microwave food so that it retains its nutritional value.

My dogs LOVE it

My dogs love this stuff. I put it on top of their kibble and then mixed it in. Their is some juice, chicken shreds, and veggies chunks. There is not much in the pouch (yes just 2ish ounces) but it was enough to split between 2 20lb dogs as a kibble topper

Another hit!

I've wasted so much money of food it's insane. Since having to put my other dog to sleep due to Cushings.. My other dog became super picky. It took me a solid year to get her meals figured out. She ate nothing that she used to with the other dog. This I could add to some shredded chicken or as is , from the package and she loves it. Always switching up her meals .. If I stick to the same thing, the food will go in the garbage.

Not enough food in the pouch

I buy Wellness core all the time, but this time when I tried Simply shreds I was shocked at how little food was in the pouch. Mostly water!! And it's the most expensive of all of there small breed products. Tired of getting jipped out of the products I buy.

Good, ingredients could be better

My dog really likes this and I like that it’s minimal ingredient, but the amount of each could be better. Chicken is the main item which is good, but for broth and water to be before the beef and carrots is not. I don’t even think there is beef in there honestly, doesn’t look like it. I’ll probably just get my own chicken and beef from the store moving forward. Cheaper and better for the doggies. But this isn’t terrible for convenience.
