Ingredients and nutritional details look fantastic, especially for older cats. Unfortunately the execution is not so great. The so called pate has a consistency more akin to a brick of (soft) cheese. I had to put forth quite a bit of effort just to crush it into a pulp that my cat could actually chew. But apparently this food tastes as unsavory as it looks. After multiple refusals by my boy to even go near it, I packed up the unopened cans and made a donation to the local cat rescue center.
My 19 year old cat recently lost interest in his Wellness Tuna Morsels but I'd still like to feed him a food he can chew but never dry food. I had almost a whole case of this flavor so I started mixing 1/2 a 5oz can Tuna Morsels with 1/2 a 3oz can Tuna and Salmon Pate, a strong smelling fishy flavor, 2 meals a day. He cleans his bowl! I adjusted my autoship. Thank you Chewy!
This is the first wet food in a long time that my cat finishes completely. She’s 11 and pretty picky. I won’t be anything else- she loves it
Cat will not eat this product. Also noticed has a very heavy, sticky consistency.
I received Wellness Complete Health Age Advantage Pate Tuna and Salmon Entree for free in exchange for my honest review. Let me start by saying I have 3 picky cats who only like gravy wet food. I was worried because this was a pate but they all liked it. Even my pickiest cat, oldest enjoyed this food. This is great to know because as my other cats get older I have an option to turn to that I know they like and will supplement their dry food they get daily. As it is a supplement, my 3 cats share the one can. I can also use this a meal in place of dry food, especially as they older and may have a hard time eating the dry kibble. I recommend!
I received Wellness Complete Health Age Advantage Tuna & Salmon Pate Entree for free in exchange for an honest review. I have fed this to my cat for several weeks now, and he absolutely loves it! Granted, my cat is not a picky eater and will usually eat anything that is put in front of him. However, he really does eat this pate up in one sitting. I like that it is grain free, and I feel comfortable feeding this product to my cat.
I received 2 boxes to try of WELLNESS COMPLETE HEALTH AGE ADVANTAGE TUNA & SALMON PATE ENTREE and here's my honest review. My cat didn't particularly care for this. He prefers shredded or chunky. He did eat some of it though. It has lots of great ingredients that help maintain healthy skin and digestion which is great. If this would've been a different texture he probably would've chowed down. I love the smaller cans. The smell was what my cat likes, stinky. It's fish which is his favorite.
I received a case of Wellness Complete Health Age Advantage Tuna and Salmon Pate in exchange for my honest review. My cat can be finicky about what she eats but she immediately liked this and even licked her bowl clean. I like that it is made with quality ingredients and formulated for older cats. The only downside is the price. It costs more than I usually pay but because she likes it so much I will buy it to supplement her other food. The things we do for our cats!
I received a free case of Wellness Complete Health Age Advantage Tuna & Salmon Entree in exchange for my honest review. I have 5 cats, and 4 of them ate this food (my 5th cat has to have prescription food only). Despite them being various ages from 7 to 17, they all enjoyed it! It doesn't smell too fishy. The texture is kind of dense and sticky, which is a little harder to divide equally. I gave each of my cats 1/3 can at dinnertime since they are small cans. If I had leftover I would just heat it in the microwave for a few seconds. I haven't noticed any real benefits or side-effects from this food. I'm happy that it's grain free and that my cats all enjoy it. My only issue with it at all is that the texture is so dense and sticky so it takes awhile for my cats to eat it.
I'd never heard of the Wellness Complete Health brand until I received a free sample of the company's Age Advantage Pate. My cats are 11, 9, and 8. The eldest and youngest have sensitive stomachs and I have to be careful with the food I give them, so I was happy to see that this recipe was grain free and formulated for cats in their age range. It's a little chunkier than most wet foods I've bought and everyone seemed to enjoy it. After about three days, my youngest began having bouts of diarrhea about twice a day. I can't say that is was due to this food because, as I said before, she's got a very sensitive stomach and this isn't completely out of the norm for her. I do a mix of wet and dry foods so that my cats can have some variety and would have no problem with buying this brand again in the future. I'm leaving 4 stars instead of 5 for the price point. I'm not saying that I think it's way overpriced, but I've bought other foods that are on-par or better in terms of ingredients and health benefits that cost quite a bit less. In the past, my vet has recommended Purina One and Purina Pro Plan--both of which were recipes with ingredients and benefits very similar to Wellness. A 24-pack of 3 oz. cans in One is about 50% cheaper than Wellness (as of this post) whereas Pro Plan is around the same price as Wellness. I'm not knocking Wellness and will definitely incorporate their products in my cats' wet/dry rotations.
