Weruva manufactures their formulas in a human grade USDA certified facility in Thailand. On top of being antibiotic free, hormone free and free range, their chicken, for instance, is also DLD certified. They source in Thailand, part of an Animal Welfare Standard that sets forth ethical treatment guidelines that helps protect livestock and cattle at the farm, during transport and at the time of processing.

Weruva has stated the following: "We add Omega-3, Omega-6, and DHA/EPA to our dog recipes per AAFCO guidelines to ensure our food is complete and balanced for adult maintenance. While AAFCO has not set a specific minimum for Omega-3, enough is included to support a healthy Omega-6 to Omega-3 ratio."
