I have owned a litter robot since 2017, I love the no scooping! The litter robot 3 that I have is still working but I decided that I wanted to try a new upgrade. The little robot 4 is amazing! It seems like it's a smaller so it takes up less space (more streamlined), and it can go right up against the wall. This one also seems to be much more quiet I love that too. The application that you could download to go along with the little robot has so many features it's crazy. It tells you the weight of the cat how many times they have used litter box whether it's full needs to be changed and you can check that information from anywhere you are and you can cycle the box from the phone. My husband loves to use this all the time. I know it seems like it's a little expensive for a cat box but the one that I had for almost 6 years and it still was working I'll never go back to scooping cat boxes. It is absolutely 100% worth the money! Cats love it to and adjusted immediately.
Like many other people in the reviews… I can’t believe it took me so long to buy this. I had heard some negative LR reviews over the years and was skeptical, but after only a week and a half of no more scooping, I’m a believer. This has made my life so much easier already and I never want to go back. I love the LR4 app features. It’s so nice being able to see the weights of my cats and all of the notifications for litter levels and waste compartment fullness. Both of my cats took to it immediately and we were able to get rid of our old litter boxes within a couple of days of having the LR.
We have three cats and this was a great addition. Went from 4 litter boxes down to one and the robot. Kittens took to it right away and the older cat in about a week. Wish the poop reservoir was larger but I still only need to empty it twice a week usually. The hood doesn't sit truly flush with the front so there's always a slight gap at the top on mine which is annoying but it hasn't mattered to the functionality so far. I do like that if the sensor sees something in the elimination hole, like a curious kitten, it will not resume it's cycle until you've verified it's safe.
Overall, it's pretty good. The robot is fairly quiet. The app features for this robot are mainly for the robot's functioning, cat's weight, and volume of waste in the drawer. The device came with a quick-start guide, but not much more info. The device must be on a flat surface for weight feature to work. There is no ramp available at this time for the robot, which is inconvenient for senior cats. It is quite a climb to the litter for cats who are less agile. If you purchased the odor lock packets, it's difficult to place them in under the carbon filter. The robot 3 has a compartment in the litter drawer, but not this model (robot 4). It was fairly easy to connect to the Wi-Fi, even with 5g. The cat sensor is pretty sensitive and is activated when you add litter as well. It's fairly easy to line and empty the waste drawer. I followed the website's suggestion that instructed to stop cleaning/scooping your cat's old litter box in order to entice your cat to use the robot. That was good advice and it worked for my cat. Overall, it works well, but I would for sure purchase on sale because it's quite pricey.
I was on the fence about purchasing this for quite a while. It does have a high price tag. Now I wish I had bought it a long time ago. Changing the bag every few days as opposed to scooping twice a day is great. My back often hurts so stooping down to scoop boxes all the time was not ideal. My cats love the everclean litter box. I have one who could be picky and not want to go when there was another pee or poo in there so I know she really appreciates it. They love to watch and interrupt the cleaning cycles. They seem to be extremely curious as to why this thing steals their poo. I was initially worried that they would be scared of it but it's actually quite the opposite. You wouldn't think it's a big deal but it really is. I have enough to do in the day so being free of scooping is such a relief.
For 3 months it was perfect. Did exactly what it's supposed to do..I was blown away. Then the errors began... Now after a cat uses the litterbox, when it begins to cycle, it always falsely detects another cat mid cleaning cycle and pauses. Then, there is a 50/50 chance it begins and completes the cleaning process. I used an old WI-FI plug I had laying around to set up a schedule where the machine is turned off and back on every 6 hours to ensure the machine at minimum cycles then. It's a great product when it works. I do believe they have too many safety features but that's probably a good thing in the grand scheme.
First and foremost I will NEVER go back to scooping litter. The litter robot 4 is well worth its weight in gold and the customer service is spectacular. Follow Litter Robot suggestions when acclimating your felines to this wonderful concept. Definitely keeping old litter box close, but not maintained! Once my 4 kittys made the transition I immediately removed old litter box and they have Loved their clean litter every time. The notification alerts are extremely helpful and easy to maintain if traveling. The weight scale is a huge upgrade with the Robot 4. I Love my Litter Robot 4.
I was apprehensive to buy this litter box because of the price tag but finally took the plunge and bought it a couple of weeks ago. I have 4 cats in the house with 3 litter boxes, so I am constantly scooping. Since purchasing this litter box I do not need to worry about this box except for one time a week with replacing the bag. All my cats use it and it cycles itself an average of 8 times a day. I love that it tells me if it needs more litter and when it is 100% full of waste. I also like the feature that it tells me what the cat weight is that is using it so I can narrow it down to which cat is liking it the best. It also is big enough to fit my 18 lb Mainecoon kitten. I will most likely end up buying a second of these so I can retire more of the regular litter boxes and have even less time spent on scooping.
It is nice not to have to scoop every day. One of my kittens use it. The other is still afraid. My first time dumping the waste, (yesterday) for some reason in reset backwards and all the litter dumped in the bin. This happened twice. Finally I got it reset. My kittens are always stopping it when it starts turning. ( They stand on the step. One of them jumps in to try and bury again. Lol.) So far they haven't messed up the cycle. It can also smell once the opening is exposed b for a bit. Overall I do like it. Just give your cats options. 1 1/2 litter boxes per cat.
I have 3 cats and I purchased the LR4. My review is preliminary as it has only been in use about a month. I love the idea of it and the way the litter box is always clean. It saves time and the back breaking process of sifting and cleaning 3 litters boxes is gone! I have one reluctant kittie that will not try it yet. I noticed that it has began to have the cycle interrupted message a lot this week. Sometimes I don't find this until later and if the cycle doesn't complete the cats can't use it. The internet failed yesterday and I had a difficult time getting the LR4 back online. I love this product but for the price, it should be very reliable.
