My cat is very finicky but these "popcorn" turkey nuggets are a big hit all around with the stray cats outside, too. They really help calm my kitty down when she's stressing and pacing around the house. She's not spayed so she does have a few days a month that are more antsy then others. Thank God the raging hormonal phase every month is over. I mix these with Purina-Beyond grain-free turkey or chicken dry food boosted with Ziwi air-dried chicken jerkies. These always get picked off first. I wish they had more flavors and bigger sizes to cut down on shipping costs. Currently, buying about 2 lg packs a month while they polish off the whitefish and lamb blends that are not as popular but about to buy enough for a couple months. I also buy popcorn shrimp and chicken from Pure Bites but their packaging is inferior and the other flavors like tuna, minnow, and cod were all rancid even the replacements. No issues with the shrimp and chicken thank goodness. They are less expensive than this brand but the portions are a little smaller to you have to buy two to have enough. I had to stop buying canned food which attracts way more ants and doesn't stay as fresh. My cat won't eat it anyway. They do miss having the pumpkin mixers in one brand of canned food they loved the most. Maybe popcorn raw pumpkin treats would be a hit too. I wish I had the equipment or knew how to make homemade popcorn treats, I would try lots of things out like leafy greens, my cat loves dried kelp in small quantites.
Ever since buying a couple small bags of this whole life freeze dried turkey, my cat goes nutso over it. He throws a fit if I don’t break apart and sprinkle turkey bits all over his dry food. If he’s in a mood, he’ll climb up on the back of the toilet and pick out all the turkey bits while I’m trying to put them on his food. He’s turned into a ravenous fiend for these treats. He even recognizes when I say “turkey” *smh* This stuff isn’t cheap either! But the big bags last much longer, especially when mixed w/ the turkey, salmon, minnows, and chicken. I use the dust to coat his dry food, which he LOVES. He’s a spoiled boy, I know. I made the mistake of giving him this kitty-crack when he was a smol boy and now I’m guessing I’ll be buying this for the next 10+ years. With the heatwave, I cleared out the bottom layer of my fridge. So Prince Remy will yell at me when he wants in his fridge. **just some tips of things NOT to do unless you want to be subservient to your cat!**
Great product. My dogs and cats love this. My youngest cat begs for this treat. Chewy delivered this quickly and always provides status for when product is expected. Great product and wonderful service by Chewy!
My cats love these treats. I also use them as a food topper for the persnickerty eating times
Love this, all you need for prepping is to add a bit of water until it gets soft then feed it to your pets. My kittens love it and go crazy for them :) I don't recommend feeding it to your pets while it's dry, they are pretty hard so adding a little water helps <3
I am so glad I don't have to worry about the ingredients in these treats being safe for my cat but unsafe for my dog or vice versa. With a single ingredient, it is very easy to tell immediately. They both really like them, and it has been a huge help in getting them to acclimate to each other, as the doggo is new. These aren't cubes - they are smallish irregular shapes about the size of the end of my thumb, but they also break into smaller pieces for a longer lasting training treat. They do seem to have a bit of freeze dried turkey dust, but that is also kind of nice as it gets the dog interested enough to investigate something new.
Best freeze dried turkey treat we have tried. Not just crumbs, actual pieces big enough for my GSD. She loves these.
I wanted to get away from chicken so decided to try these. Pieces are way too hard to comfortably give a cat without fear of choking. Of the few soft pieces I did find, they love the taste. Way too expensive to put in food processor to give as a topper.
Well my cat is eating it like a treat. Not the same as she likes her other treats but at least she’ll take a bite and I didn’t waste my money this time I’m trying something new
Too bad half of the bag is wasted turkey dust. You would think, for the high price they charge, the manufacturer would have better packaging, and better quality control. Trying to find a different company now. I will not be ordering this again, due to half the bag is wasted.
