Approximately how many come per bag?

Answer by ChewyNov 03, 2025
The size can vary quite a bit with this item, as this brand does run a variety of sizes of shrimp. If Whole Life Pet runs their smallest size, the count is generally 50-60 per bag. If they run a larger shrimp, the count would be approximately half that, or 30. The shrimp can be easily broken in half to increase the number of actual treats. These are wild shrimp, so they do vary a lot, so we do not guarantee something uniform.

Is this shrimp raw?

Answer by ChewyNov 02, 2025
These treats are freeze-dried. Freeze drying removes moisture without heat, preserving nutrients, flavor, and texture naturally. It’s a gentle process that keeps food closer to its original state—no preservatives, no cooking, no loss of nutrition.

smelly but good

Definitely a fishy smell but it is dried shrimps so that’s obvious. My one kitten likes them after I broke them up and he ate them then learned to eat them whole

My two cats loved when I gave them these treats. Keep in mind that they are "jumbo" sized and would need either supervision or the treat itself to be broken up before you give to your pets as a treat. We ran out of shrimp quickly because my girls loved them so much.

Good grief!

Can't even get the bag open when he knows he's getting one of these! You'd think I just went fishing and he wants his dinner! Goes absolutely nuts and loves these!

9 cats and 4 outdoor strays. Not one of them would eat them. Thought they would love them so ordered 2 bags. Total waste of $.

These are a tad bigger than the ones we normally get for my tiny 5-pound tortie so the first few we had to break up for her but she has now decided she is a "big scary alpha predator" and can tackle these on her own. Really seems to like them!

3 out of 4 Said Nope

Only my treat hound would eat these, the other 4 said no even after I broke it up into smaller pieces, nor mashed it into powder as a food topper. Bummer because

Overall our cats seem to prefer the salmon or tuna over the shrimp, but they didn't go waste
