Our dog loves it!
The dog loves it and I think the size of kibble slows her down a bit on eating which is good. There is no overwhelming beef smell when you open the bag. And I think our dog poops less which probably means it agrees with her system and digests well. The only thing I don’t care for is the bag seems a little greasy on the inside when I reach in to get a scoop. Just me— nothing wrong with the food!
Good upgrade for my senior dogs
I needed to move my pups away from high protein chows, now that they are seven years old. They were eating grass, produced messy poops, and weren't enthusiastic with their chow. Wholesomes Beef Meal & Rice Formula seems to have worked out quite nicely for my rescue dogs. Even my fussy one seems to like it - even better than the prior dry food.
Great choice!
My dogs both love this food. One is picky, and sometimes needs to be coaxed into eating. The other would eat dirt if that's all that was available. Their coats are shiny, they have the right amount of energy. I love that it's made in the USA.

Opened box up and bag was ripped open just would like to get a bag that isn’t ripped open is all please send me another bag
Chewy really delivers!
2 weeks ago I was notified by email from Chewy that they were out of my regular dog food (lamb & rice) for my routine every 2 week shipment. Not only did they let me know ASAP, they offered a discount on a replacement order & shipped it that same day! My dogs seem to like the beef & rice just as well & the shipment was on time. We do dog rescues here in TN & currently have 18 dogs. Timely food deliver is crucial. Best customer service anywhere!

Great Dane yumminess
I use this food for my new Great Dane puppy and with my last Great Dane. They both are very happy and healthy. This food has all of the right percentages for my Danes. The price isn't too bad either. I also like that it is made in the USA.

higher price but half the cost of blue buff and totally worth it
My Shepard mix’s allergies make him dig himself bloody & infected plus bald from his shoulders to his tail. I seriously considered the highly recommended raw diet but, I was intimidated by the meat/vegetable/fruit percentages of each, fearful of making a mistake. Decided to try an “expensive” dog food, starte looking to find something cheaper than Blue Buffalo’s $60/20# bags. Label reading at Tractor Supply while feeling helpless when a Wholesome sales lady happened to be in the store (weird huh) well, she hooked us up. “My dog is much better”is an understatement, he still requires cortisone shots twice a year but that’s it. Hair has grown back, no more digging. We switched all 3 dogs at the same time, which are a Yorkie & a Great Dane. They all love it, this flavor only mind you. They actually consume less food over all, which tells me this stuff is more filling. Cheaper than some of the good dog food brands & they eat less which saves money. I highly recommend Wholesome dog food.
