Where da fruit at?

I have a lot of fruit and nut lovers that visit my feeders, so the overall favorite mix so far was Wild Delight's Nut 'N Berry. Depending on the current price, I might switch this mix out with some other nut/fruit seed mixes. However the composition of those alternate mixes have increased the content of millet, corn, and sunflower seeds while also increasing the price. If I was going to pay mainly for corn, sunflower seeds, and millet, then I was going to go to a cheaper mix. I bought a couple of bags of Better Bird Songbird Blend which contains mostly sunflower seeds, millet, a some scattering of safflower seeds and an occasional peanut. I have a lot of little birds--mostly finches--that seem to love white millet so much that they chose it over their supposed favorite nyjer seed. I wanted to avoid corn because too much corn tends to attract more starling and blackbirds than anything else. However, I was afraid that switching to the plainer mix would be a turn-off for all the fruit and nut lovers which included cardinals, bluejays, nuthatches, chickadees, woodpeckers and more. We even had a bunch of wintering robins visit our bird feeder seemingly looking for berries. So, I still ended up buying this bag of Fruit N' Berry to mix in the cheaper mix and bump up the fruit content. I have bought Fruit N' Berry before and it had visible chunks and bits of all kinds of fruit. It even had peanuts. However, this latest bag was mostly sunflower seeds. Yes there was fruit and even peanuts in the mix, but not nearly like before. And there were also less safflower seeds--favorites of my cardinals and doves. At least the mix was cleaner than a lot of sunflower seed mixes--very few bits of chaff. At least the birds didn't mind much and everything was eaten--except of course all those messy black sunflower seed shells. Ugh! Overall, not really a bad mix at all, but not really worth the price. I'm not really saving much buying this as an add-in. I probably won't get this again unless there was a bigger bag on sale that would at least make it more economical.

A staple in my feeders

Over the past few years I have tried quite a few varieties of bird food and this is one of the ones I found as a favorite with my birds. I always have it in a couple of my feeders.

Birds Love It

Cardinals and blue jays come flying in! I would recommend it. It’s a nice addition to the regular wild bird mix.

Great Product

I've been buying Wild Delight birdseed for some time now. Excellent quality. Wish Chewy's sold the 20-lb bags of Fruit n' Berry instead of just the 5-lb bags; would probably save me some money.

Birds love it

The birds are liking it very much. And I like it because there doesn't seem to be a lot of wasted food on the ground. I have found that in our area (Okla), the bird foods that contain peanuts, they kick out the peanuts. More ends up on the ground than in their tummys.

Bluebirds Love This

Our bluebirds had decreased in our area over the last few years and we wanted to get them back. We searched for products we thought would help and this product seems to be working.

No one likes the fruit

Birds and squirrel like the seeds but ignore the fruit. Will probably look for a different blend. There's no use spending extra for fruit they won't touch.
