Bring all the birds to your yard with Wild Delight’s Sock Finch Feeder! This feed and feeder are designed to attract wild finches and other outdoor pets. The sock feeder is packed with premium nyjer seed—an oil seed that finches and other birds go wild for. The disposable nylon sock feeder is completely refillable and doesn’t require any cleaning like traditional feeders. Plus, finches prefer eating from a soft sock feeder as opposed to a tube feeder!

I bought 2 of these and put them out. Goldfinches came, but they won’t eat it. Not sure why. It said on the box that the seeds were sanitized. (My word not theres) but it was to prevent it from sprouting, I think. I’m wondering if that did something to the seed causing them not to like it. I’ll post another review after I put it in a different feeder. I hope they it it this time around. Won’t buy it again tho.
I left this out for a week and a half and never saw any of the birds eat from it. I ended up dumping it into the bird feeder but they still seemed to pick other bird seed over this type.
very good service/great product
No action on the feeder. I watch it everyday. Its my kitty TV my human put up for me. Other bird feeder very busy. No commercials there.
I have a feeder with Kaytee Nyjer seed that finches feed at. I put a couple of these both near and away from my main feeder. It has gone untouched.
My goldfinches and other small birds like this.
The four I ordered are almost gone. I put them on autoship.
The Finch sock feeders are the neatest thing ever. So fast and easy. And Finches really do love them. I used to have 3 Finches, I now have 9. The word is spreading. :)
The goldfinch had disappeared from the neighborhood. Tried one of these socks to attract them and it worked within weeks. It was amazing. Also added sunflower hearts which they also like. Try it out and give it time - it doesn't work immediately, but now that the birds have found the sock, they are in the backyard every day.
I had tried finch socks before, and no finch or any other bird would come near it. Well, since we were now living in a different city, and there were several house finches and a few goldfinch already here, I thought I would try again. But nope! Hung for several days at the same feeding station, and had NO birds even check it out! The seed seemed fresh, very black and glossy, so as not to let it go to waste, I opened up the sack and poured the seeds into the tube feeder. The nyger seed was eaten readily (didn't see a bunch dumped on the ground on purpose like milo). Hence, the 4-star rating. My product came in a pristine white netted sack stuffed with fresh seeds. The birds here just had no clue or no interest in the sock. You might give it a try to see if finches or other small birds will go for it, but if they don't seem to notice it after several days, try mixing the seed in with other bird seed, or just offer it in a regular feeder. It might take a day or two for the birds to either find or get used to the sock. I left mine almost a week, and then gave up fearing the seed would go stale. I won't buy nyger seed in this format again.
