Cats use it a lot even though they have 2 other options. My only problem is the insert in the front of the box that holds the flap does not stay in place

No, don't do it

i was severely disappointed. it looks like a plastic toy and is very flimsy. i had to return it unfortunately. customer service is awesome here though!
