My cat is a pile-er, she piles all her litter to one side of the box and then does her business. The gaps between stainless steel box and the plastic walls allows for her urine to pass through and get on my floor. There’s also holes in the plastic, that if any wet litter gets in, it’s hard to get out. If your cat uses the latrine like mine, do not really recommend this type of box

The entire structure is plastic, which still holds a lot of smell, but the metal pan is okay, a little shallow. My kittens had upset tummies for a bit and i ended up just tossing the structure & keeping the litter pan without a lid

I didn't install the door part yet, but she already knows how to jump out the top! I will probably eventually install the door but i bet its nice for her with more airflow

We originally purchased this with the plastic tray. The tray eventually becomes difficult to keep clean. The Stainless Steel tray is a GREAT Modification!!! Cleaning
