Why is sodium laurel sulfate included in your formula?

The SLS in Wondercide Cedarwood Home & Pet Flea & Tick Spray helps the oil and water mix together and remain stable, as well as to boost the repellency of the spray against fleas and ticks. Wondercide use SLS made from coconut oil (never from petroleum) that is renewable and biodegradable.

How safe is it for cats who groom alot? Or better said - how safe is it for cats to ingest?

These products are made from 98% naturally-derived, human-grade ingredients and will not harm your pets if inadvertently consumed or licked off. However, we usually advise customers to discourage their pets from licking too much product off, as the repellent qualities may be lessened if groomed completed from the coat.

Does this work on dogs with super thick hair? Its almost impossible for me to see the skin the fur coat is so thick

This spray is suitable for dogs with a thick coat. To apply, first rub your pet's coat in the opposite direction of growth, spray and rub in.

Will Not Buy Again

Layla did not like the spray bottle. It was a chore to spray her. She learned pretty quick to run when she saw the bottle. I did not think it was very effective

Layla did not like the spray bottle. It was a chore to spray her. She learned pretty quick to run when she saw the bottle. I did not think it was very effective. I used it for Layla and my granddog. He didn’t like the spray bottle either. I live on a farm, lots of woods, lots of ticks. I used this in addition to an oral tick med in an effort to stop the ticks before they attached. I had better results making my own with essential oils and a cooking oil base that I could put in my palms and then rub over their fur. Less stress for them and it worked just as well.

This makes a great carpet and soft surface spray for anyone and everyone, pets or no! Obviously nothing ever takes the place of giving your pets their Simparica Trio or other flea & tick medication, but this is a great supplement to your protective efforts. It’s absolutely essential for anyone with any sort of soft surfaces in their home, especially carpet! My only pet is a tiny little Maltese who never goes outside unless she’s in her purse carrier, but I still spray this all over my apartments carpet every single day because I can’t get the maintenance man to take off his darn shoes at my door when it’s cold outside! BUGS. LIVE. EVERYWHERE. Unless you’re in Antarctica, you have to take daily precautions to keep your household bug free in a way that’s still safe and non-toxic for you and your family.

Dog won’t tolerate

It’s basically impossible for me to get this on my dog’s coat. Spray gives him full scale terror. Spraying it on the brush and then brushing him makes him avoid

To me it is a pleasant enough smell and good for use on furniture but it’s to useful for the purpose for which I bought it, to use on the dog directly to control fleas

An Ineffective Product

It doesn't deter ticks at all. We've used it multiple times going out and my doggo always comes back with ticks. It's a waste of money, unfortunately.

It works

It works but it's a product that needs to be used daily. It won't kill all your fleas all at once just the ones that aren't around at the moment If you see one

I enjoy it because it's not toxic and I can use it like a repellent for me and my dog. It only lasts so long. I do recommend getting a bigger bottle cause this will go by fast

The Wondercide Cedarwood spray works! And it is safe for both dogs AND cats. This works so well I don't need to use the chemical kind anymore on either my dog or my cats. And the smell is not bad either. I spray my dog, bedding, furniture, and the carpet lightly each morning and the cats once a week, and we are flea free. No more chemicals for us!
