I have a german shepherd and Belgian Malinois. I have the XL size toy and bought the XL treat balls, obviously. Except the balls are too small, they just fall down in the toy and makes it pretty much impossible for my dogs to get to it after a few licks. Eventually I have to just open it and give them the ball because it’s so tiny. They advertise it to make it look like it sits flush in the hole but it doesn’t. There’s just so much extra room it’s not really even possible for my dogs to enjoy it/get anything. Its not a great enrichment toy if the dog can’t even reach it shrug

The treat balls are fine and our golden has always enjoyed them, my issue is you pay so much for these treats then the holder stops unscrewing. I just bought a new bag of these and I can’t get the holder apart to give them to our dog. Second holder which is actually a replacement from chewy and I can’t even unscrew it with vice grips. Never exposed to heat or been though the dishwasher, I add oil before screwing back together, zero reason these holders shouldn’t stand the test of time. Now I have a new bag of woof treat balls and I am not sure what to do with them having read another review stating their dog nearly choked to death on one.

I bought several of these refill bags and 3 of the holders for my 3 dogs. I wanted to warn everyone of this being a choking hazard. I gave each of my dogs one of these and my senior dog almost choked to death. She couldn’t breathe and fell over after she frantically pawed at her mouth. I couldn’t dig it out because it was too slippery. I had to perform the Heimlich maneuver. It was one of the scariest moments of my life. I will not be buying these again. I thought it was soft enough to not worry but I was wrong.

I have two dogs. One with an iron stomach. One with the most sensitive of stomachs (you look at him wrong and he gets diarrhea). I purchased these for my iron stomach girl. The first one she had in her woof toy, she vomited 8 times immediately after having. I thought it was because it was a new treat or she just got too excited eating it and playing with her toy. But after multiple attempts, the same happened: vomit volcanos. We ended up giving these to a friend that could use them. 3 stars because the idea of this is nice and they fit perfectly into the toy, packaged well, easy to use. But minus 2 stars because after you clean up 30 piles of slobbery dog vomit, it turns you off of a product.

The treats are great, but the two different toys we purchased for them didn’t hold up. The first was the basic holder and my puppy got pieces off of it within 1/2 hour. Chewy refunded it. I ordered the most durable (black) holder and it also had chunks out of it after the first use and had to be thrown away.

My dog chews through “not lasting” chews in minutes, so I was very curious if the pupsicle and pops would keep him entertained. To my delight it does! I have the large pupsicle so I buy the large refills. I also make my own refill in their molds but mine only last 15 minutes when I give them to my dog. When I need my dog entertained for longer I use these premade refills. My dog loves them, and they last around 30 minutes for him. If I freeze the premade refills then I can get a full hour out of them. I will note that my dog is highly food motivated and I’ve never had a treat he does not like so I can’t speak for if this would be good for pickier or less food motivated dogs.

The treats are compact and hearty. The first one kept him busy for 2 hours!! I was going to buy the mold to make my own, but I think I'll keep buying these. They are hard and compressed - much more tightly compressed that I could make myself. I'm sure they will last longer than anything I could make.
