Sometimes a lower priced item works out great. Sometimes not so much. The platforms on this are tiny. My cats are 15+ lbs and can only sit their rears on them (carefully)

Too small for small cats to use
Lovely piece of furniture, and it might work well for active kittens. Even our smallest cat (@8 pounds) cannot get on the top two perches, even when we removed one
Lovely piece of furniture, and it might work well for active kittens. Even our smallest cat (@8 pounds) cannot get on the top two perches, even when we removed one of the posts. For example, from the edge of the top landing where the left scratching post is to the box is about 3 inches.

Very hard cat tree
You get what you pay for. This was a very inexpensive cat tree and it showed. The sitting areas are very hard so I had to make cushions for my cats.
