Easy set up
Pro: Easy set up Con: the doors are almost impossible to open (handle is nearly impossible to slide) This could be the only bad one but wanted to bring it to customer

Very spacious but not super sturdy
The size is nice and the crate pan is good but part of the kennel wall isn’t really holding up and is sort of bowing inward even though nothing has been stored on

Great price with the discount
I haven't yet opened the box as it's a donation for Noah's Ark Animal Shelter in Carlsbad, NM. They do a wonderful, lifesaving job in an area with great need.

Too small for 25lb puppy!!!!
42 inch crate now too small for my 25 lbs. standard poodle puppy. Only lasted 2 months now buying the next size up to accommodate her height although under 90lbs
42 inch crate now too small for my 25 lbs. standard poodle puppy. Only lasted 2 months now buying the next size up to accommodate her height although under 90lbs. Her head is smushed and her hair sticks out top of crate. Worries her growth would be stumped.
Not at all as described
I reordered the same kennel I purchased not even 8 months ago. The Kennel was 42L x 28W x 30H and received a smaller one for the same price that measured 42L x 24
I reordered the same kennel I purchased not even 8 months ago. The Kennel was 42L x 28W x 30H and received a smaller one for the same price that measured 42L x 24 W x 26H. An adjustment should be made in price charged as I did not teceive the same size kennel. My puppy is 7 1/2 months old and I needed another kennel because she has broke the wires several times. She is only in this while we are at work with someone coming home to let her out at lunchtime.
Cheap quality
The kennel is very flimsy.. given that I ordered the XL version which is for.. well.. XL dogs.. the connectors are not even out of metal..They are out of plastic
The kennel is very flimsy.. given that I ordered the XL version which is for.. well.. XL dogs.. the connectors are not even out of metal..They are out of plastic it seems!! The metal gutters are so thin that I'm worried it will break within a few weeks at the just.. I have 2 other kennels this size for my other dogs that I've ordered a couple years ago around the same price and they are very sturdy and all metal connectors and clasps.. this one is designed to be replaced within a very short period of time.. won't be purchasing again
Cheap products

I just put this up for a new puppy cut my finger on a sharp spot on the metal. I really think Chewy has gone to cheap products have been having bad luck with many of their products and use to love their stuff. I had to sand down the sharp spots so my puppy wouldn’t also get hurt on it.
Very Cheap/Weak, Unlikely to hold a Dog, and not a normal sized 42 inch crate
Yes, I do realize I should have stopped everything, taken my life in my hands with my mean as snot foster cat and measured my current 42 inch crate to ensure this
Yes, I do realize I should have stopped everything, taken my life in my hands with my mean as snot foster cat and measured my current 42 inch crate to ensure this was the same size. Buuuut, every 42 inch crate I've ever ordered has been the same size, give or take a small amount. Until now. This crate is EASILY 3 inches smaller height and width wise than every 42 inch crate I own. And I'm not gonna lie, I own more than the normal person as I attach them together so I can safely contain feral foster momma cats while allowing them more room than just a single crate or cat cage. So, when I got this delivered and attempted to attach it to a current 42 inch crate I have I was not only shocked at how small it was, but was left scrambling to figure out a way to still use it for my current spicy momma. Now, fortunately, I'm just trying to corral cats. Cause, this thing is WAAAAAY too light weight and cheaply made to contain any version of a dog that you would buy a 42 inch crate for. Fortunate for me cause I could quickly and easily bend it to my will. Not so fortunate for anyone actually trying to contain any larger animal as they could EASILY just push their way out via the doors or maybe even just bend through the wires. Well...maybe not the doors. Cause the door neither closes or opens easily. I have yet to figure out how to lift or move or push the door to make the two latches actually slide open without using an inordinate amount of force and a whoooole looot of wiggling. In truth...it would probably be easier to just bend the door open than work the latches. But, I do suppose that would make the crate completely unusable versus most useless. Alas, I obviously do not suggest buying one unless you need a quick, cheap, small cat/dog, throw away crate for some reason. Cause it's probably a solid 3.5 stars in that category. But for a crate that you plan to actually use? Definitely a solid "absolutely returning this one" single star rating!
Always read your measurements
I bought this crate for my pup who is tall but small bodied. The crate ended up being wider than higher which is on me. The wiring isn’t as good quality as my Midwest
I bought this crate for my pup who is tall but small bodied. The crate ended up being wider than higher which is on me. The wiring isn’t as good quality as my Midwest crate, but it does its job. It came a little bent in spots, but I didn’t have the time to write in or really care. It does what I need it to do. I wish the long side door opened the other way but overall good purchase and fast shipping
Good size
The wire crate needs a little more stability. I would not have this if I had a large over powering dog.
