Dangerous design

Puppy - 3 months old Yorkshire Terrier - I bought this to contain our puppy so he could freely roam around and play. My thought was this would relieve the fear of him getting hurt or into something he shouldn’t in case I was not fast enough to catch him in the act. This design did the total opposite. Our pup sprung/jumped up used the horizontal rails on the panel to climb and caught his paw between the gate and screamed horribly. I couldn’t get up fast enough to get him so he was dangling by his paw, which wedged in further between the two panels of the gate because he was trying to free himself. Also the advertisement picture shown for customer purchase does not show the stakes/pin holding the panels together and the picture shows the gate inside a home, which is what I purchased it for, however if you put the gate inside the pins stick up creating a safety hazard. The pins/stakes are made to be pushed down into the ground to stabilize the gate but even if this gate is outside and the pins are pushed into the ground, the loop still creates a safety issue for any pups that may wear a collar with this loop. Horrible design and very dangerous especially if a dog or puppy is wearing a collar. Another concern is the horizontal rails on each panel create and invite a climbing wall. Idea is great, design is dangerous.

I bought this for my 12 lb dog to use for her knee surgery recovery. It is the perfect size for an XL puppy pad + a water fountain and a bed for a small dog. I would not recommend this pen for dogs over 20 lbs, but it was perfect for my needs.

Sturdy, simple to put together

Got 2 of these to help with a new Havanese puppy. They are easy to put together, but keep in mind each panel has a side, meaning the pin bracket is off-center on

Got 2 of these to help with a new Havanese puppy. They are easy to put together, but keep in mind each panel has a side, meaning the pin bracket is off-center on the gate. As long as the panels are all on the same side, everything lines up and the pin can slip through without issue. The door lines up perfectly and the latch takes very little effort to open, while at the same time you do have to move the latch fairly far to open the gate. I’d assume this is handy when you have an escape artist on you hands, but luckily my pup couldn’t get up that high. The finish seems durable, as I’ve re-assembled the pens several times and don’t see any noticeable scratching. These seem to do everything expected.

Size and ease of assembly and access to pet

Puppy got her foot pinched between the panels as she jumped up on the side. NOT GOOD! I will be returning as I don't feel it is safe.

sturdy looks nice it was exactly what I needed for my mini aussie
