My cavalier likes this treat and tried to hide it, but she rarely ever chews it. It's too hard for her. She likes to sniff and lick it, but she won't use it for a nice long chew session. Wish these were a tad softer, so that she'd be more engaged. I tried microwaving it, but it got big to the size that was intimidating. Other dogs that come over for play dates absolutely love it, though.
I ordered these for my puppy. Two of the bones were fine. Broke off in tiny pieces, but the third bone broke off in very sharp pieces that were much larger. I had to throw it away as he could have choked.
A friend at work was talking about how her dogs love these, but she has huskies, but I decided to look anyways and saw they have for small dogs too. Well.... Tequila LOVES these! And I like the fact that it doesn't break down easily. One will last her a couple weeks before it gets to small.
It would be nice if these were made with round edges like some bone shaped treats/chews. Don't like the sharp edges and corners.
Two out of the three treats were too short to safely give my small dog (13 lbs). The third was barely long enough, but wouldn’t last more than a few hours and remain at a safe length. These treats are so delicious that dogs may be prone to swallow the last short bits. Choose another version of this treat.
Little guy has been going thru severe depression since his second Mama passed away. This was the first time I gave him something like this. He didn’t know what to do with it. First he hid it under leaves. Then brought in back into the house and put it in his toy box. Then hid it in Mama’s chair. He must have spent 3 hours protecting his new bone. Finally he started chewing on it. Liked the taste and NEVER put it down until it was gone. He looked up at me like WOW - Good to the last bite. It isn’t something I will give him daily but for those special days or when I have to run to work and leave him for a couple of hours.
My puppy is 4 mos. old and is teething. I do not like most chew bones or toys as it’s so easy for a dog to ingest bits and pieces. These bones do not do that, and he loves them. Plus...they last a long time. Highly recommend.
My dog, a Havanese, adored this chew and I had high hopes. He is a strong chewer, and previously he would get through half a bully ring in an hour. Chewy discontinued our bully rings so I am searching for a new safe chew that'll last. It seemed very small for him right out of the bag and he couldn't hold it himself, but I figured we'd give it a try. I let him eat half (it was small), and I actually didn't realize he'd eaten half of it in 10 minutes. He has has diarrhea all night. Bully rings lasted longer.
My dogs LOVE these treats. Mt coonhound eats hers completely in 15 minutes but they last days with my Lhasa Apso & Norwegian Elkhound. I like that you can take small chunks that are left & put them in the microwave & make cheese puffs!
We’ve purchased these Himalayan cheese treats before and they seemed fresher. This most recent package seemed old or over-baked and very hard (like a rectangle rock.
