The bars are sturdy, and once assembled, the whole cage feels pretty secure. The directions were a little unclear (the “lid” of the cage isn’t shown and I started to put it together inside out before I figured it out). I love the feature of having wheels on the bottom - it makes it so easy to move when I need to clean around it. The one door isn’t as sturdy as I would like; I thought there would be two latches, but the latch for the smaller door doesn’t lock to the framework of the cage, so it’s really only one latch holding the door closed and it doesn’t feel as secure as I wanted. The floor of the cage is also comprised of bars instead of a flat surface, which is a ridiculous feature, I think. My dog was too scared to walk on it and I had to purchase an extra thick crate mat for him to go inside. In the end, I’ve made it work and it wasn’t much more expensive than the regular wire crate that my dog kept escaping. If you need something a little stronger but can’t afford the $500 escape-proof crates, this is a good option

Lucky yo have found this kennel. We have a Houdini and he escaped all other kennels. This one is the best, though we still use a c clamp to secure because he flips
