Our dog absolutely devoured this food. The other dog with a sensitive stomach and who prefers chicken, did not seem interested in this fish option. The size of the can is great as a supplement to your usual diet as a treat or appetizer for a large dog (like ours) or you can feed more cans throughout the day. Can size is definitely geared toward smaller breeds. The ingredients are high quality and I know that with feeding this diet, our dog will get a balanced, healthy diet. The color of the pate is a bit off-putting but we never noticed a strong fishy smell and our dog really did like it.

High protein, low fat

My senior rescue,13 yo, came to me with no teeth and digestive issues. I was happy that the Zealandia was grain free. The texture is soft and partly a gel like texture so eating it was easy for her. The combination of fish and lamb parts provide high protein and low fat nutrition. Poppy is an enthusiastic eater and it was no different with Zealandia. Lately I've been researching the amount of kcals Poppy needs to provide the daily nutrition for her 13 pounds which is 345. I was disappointed to find that the 101 kcals per would require three cans+ per day. I should note that most 13 oz cans rarely have 345 kcals requiring 1.24+ cans per day. I’ve been hesitant to feed fish because I worried about the smell but had no issue with Zealandia. My 3 stars were because of the number of kcals, but a can would make a protein rich topper.

Not sure on how it affects stomach because the food hasn’t been fully integrated into her diet. But taste I would say they gave it a 10/10

I received a case of 24, 6-ounce cans of Zealandia Adult Grain-Free Hoki Fish Pate Canned Dog Food. When I opened two cans and served the Hoki Fish Pate in my dogs' bowls, I wasn’t sure if Zeus and Zara would like it. However, they must have thought it was Thanksgiving because they gobbled it right up! Their bowls were completely clean by the time they finished. I had no issues at all. They came up to me while I was writing this, asking for more. The product had low odor, very easy to open the can, and healthy for my two best buddies. Zeus and Zara say thumbs up! Wooooooof.

I was skeptical at first of trying this product because it contains fish and my dog Eden usually only likes beef and chicken. But she absolutely loved it, and was licking her dish ( for the first time ever) and was looking for more. It contains lamb and mussels also, and other high quality ingredients. The food is a solid pate form which she prefers. I was very pleasantly surprised by how much she loved it because she is such a picky eater.
