After our vet recommended that our dog needed to lose a few pounds to get to a healthy weight, I was on a hunt for weight management treats. I tried a few others, but they were too hard for our dog, as he is getting older and having trouble chewing on the crunchy treats. These treats are perfect for him - he really likes them and they are soft enough to break apart for him to eat.

As a dog mom to four pups a dachshund Batman, a husky Cinder, a lab Teemo, and a lab/husky mix Nola. weight management is always on my radar, especially for my smaller guy and my older pups. I’ve tried a few weight support chews before, but Zesty Paws Vet Strength really stands out. First off, all four of my dogs actually like the taste which is a win in itself! No hiding it in cheese or peanut butter. The chicken flavor is a hit, even with my pickier eater, looking at you, Cinder!. Compared to other supplements, I love that these are vet formulated and backed by real science, not just a gimmicky label. I’ve noticed their energy has stayed consistent, and they’re not as snack-obsessed between meals. Batman especially has benefitted he’s at a healthier weight and it’s helping ease the pressure on his little back. Would I buy this again? Yes. Would I recommend it to friends or family with dogs? Absolutely. It's an easy, tasty way to support your dog’s health especially if weight management is a concern. Plus, I love that one product works for all four of my fur babies.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product to try in exchange for my review. We were excited to try out Zesty Paws Vet Strength Weight Management Bites Chicken Flavored Chew Supplement for our Shiba Inu (Daisy). We have struggle with her weight gain/appetite and due to her small stature we need to try and keep her at a more healthy weight for her frame. We have tried other weight management supplements for her but she did not like taking them. She would sniff them and then refuse to take them. Honestly, it would be a chore to get her to take them so we would end up with a semi-used jar since we wouldn’t continue with them. The zesty paws supplement is a cute heart shape treat that she loves taking. We give it to her every morning before her first meal. I have notice it has helped her stay fuller longer so she is not begging for more dog food or snacks as much throughout the day. Instead she seemed more satisfied with her set meal times. We look forward to seeing more progress as time goes by. I would definitely recommend trying the supplement out especially if you have picky eaters. It is a great value since you get 90 treats per jar.

This Zesty Paws Vet Strength Weight Management Bites Chicken Flavored Chew Supplements for Dogs, 90 count has been a blessing for my overweight dachshund. I have been using for a month now and he has lost a 2 pounds which is amazing for this dog. I was nervous it may not be as appealing for him as his regular treats being it was for weight management but he loves them. When he sees me grab the container he comes running to me and knows what he is about to get and begins to beg. After I give him one he sits patiently for another but unfortunately it is only one per day. I do not know if its is because of the weight loss or the supplement part of this treat but he seems to have so much more energy and is jumping and running again just like his old a little younger self again. Will continue using this product for my best friend to keep him healthy and around for as long as possible.

We tried this supplement due to the fact I have a lab and we all know labs eat everything and anything in site. I also have a husky Australian Shepherd mix who likes to eat as well. First of all the supplement smells good and the dogs love the taste. I don’t have to hide it the pills, they actually want to take it and I have noticed they’ve both slim down and not eating extra snacks or begging as much. It’s a win for our house.

Since he does like them, I will continue to purchase them since he has gained some weight for further care. Wont be buying anymore

For the price and the fact that the cap is impossible to open, I wont be buying it anymore. My 25 year old son had a crazy time trying to open it too! So, it's not just me.

I got the this to help slim down my pup. I have an Doberman who has some extra belly fat she needs to lose. She had no problem eating them and seemed to like the taste. Due to her size at 95 lbs she had to take 3 which seemed like a lot and only lasted 1 month. I have not noticed a difference in her weight, but it is hard to tell. It's not like we can put her on a scale. She did not have any side effects and liked it as a treat.

Not Sure About These

i received a container of Zesty Paws "Weight Management Bites" for free in exchange for writing this review and shared them with both my dogs, a shepherd lab mix and a springer spaniel. neither dog hesitated eating them and I did incrementally administer them as specified. while i had no issues with my springer, my shepherd lab appeared to have an upset stomach hours later in the wee hours of the night :( it may have just been coincidental but i did cease giving them to both my dogs our of precaution. my springer did appear to want to eat just as much as he usually does and wonder if maybe i just didn't use them long enough. i am still deciding if i want to give them another try in a few weeks and see if have better luck.

I have a GSD/Akita mix, a large girl whose doctor says would benefit from losing a few pounds. She treats them as treats and loves seeing the container come out to top off her dinner. Too soon to see any difference in weight but we’ll finish this container off and see how it goes!
