Bought for the dog, taken over by the cat

This cooling bed is super cute. The material feels like nylon with fiber-fill stuffing and is cool to the touch. Because of the material, it stays cool no matter where it's put, tile floor, carpet, etc. As soon as I put it on the floor, one of my dogs went to it, gave it a sniff, did a spin and laid on it. That same thing, minus the spin, was done by both my other and my friend's dog. They were curious then ended up lying on it. It came with a cute little ice cream cone shaped pillow made with the same material however, the pillow is sewn to the bed. Bad idea. Dog #2 immediately started chewing and de-stuffing it. Basically, the bed is holding the stuffed toy and the pup can destroy it even easier! So, would I recommend this bed? Yes I would. I do, however, recommend just removing the "pillow".

I have two dogs, and I got this for the black dog who always seems to be hot. She completely ignored it, never even sniffed it, so maybe this is not for everyone. Meanwhile my white dog, who usually seems plenty cool, took to it immediately. He went after the ice cream cone, which is sturdily attached to the bed and wouldn't come off no matter how much he chewed on it. He played with the bed like a big toy, carrying it by the cone and the blue ring. Eventually he pulled the whole bed from room to room, chewing on the ice cream cone. So why only 3 stars? This is supposed to be a MEDIUM-SIZED cooling bed. Both of my dogs are 25 pounds, so I consider them to be medium sized, but they are waaaaaay too big for this bed. I felt the inside of the bed myself and it did seem to be both soft and cool, which really matters in the summer - no "fur" on the bottom piece. That said, it must be cool and comfortable because last night I saw that my white dog, who had finally stopped chewing on the ice cream cone, had thrown himself into the bed even though most of his body was hanging out on the floor. I wish so much that I had known - because I would have gotten a LARGE for my "medium" dogs, maybe even XL. I have a feeling they would have loved it!

this is a great product, if only my animals knew what to do with it. i would love to say it's amazing! it cools them off after long walks, except the dog refuses
this is a great product, if only my animals knew what to do with it. i would love to say it's amazing! it cools them off after long walks, except the dog refuses to lay in it. and the cat thinks it needs a massage. what i can say is that apparently it makes a great pillow, especially with the adorable ice cream cone stuffy in it. and it also seems to make a good blanket, if you have a smaller pup (or cat) that fits under it. and it's great for kneading, due to the soft pillow-y walls. use that information how you will. hopefully your animals are smarter than mine.

When the product arrived it had a small stuffed carrot attached to the top which my dog immediately tried to rip apart, so i detached it. The bed itself is really pretty, and looks well-made. Theres not as much stuffing on the bottom as i would like, because my dog is older and she needs that extra cushioning. I cant really say if the cooling aspect of the bed works since she's only in the bed while we're cooking dinner to make sure she doesnt miss anything that might fall on the floor.

For a medium dog bed I thought it would fit a puggle but it seems to be more for a smaller breed like Chihuahuas. The ice cream cone is adorable but our dogs think it’s a chew toy and are already trying to rip it off. Would be great if it was removable as an actual toy. Overall very cute and cooling which our puggle loves!

The fabric is soft and should wash easily if it gets dirty. The bolster is not too soft, not too firm. Even the bottom of the bed is cooling, although it could be padded a little more. Love the color - it makes me think "summer".
