Can this be used as 24 hour heat lamp
Answer by ChewyMar 23, 2019
This bulb is not intended to be used as a 24-hour heat source.

How many watts would I get for a 55 gallon bearded dragon terrarium.
Answer by ChewyDec 18, 2018
For a bearded dragon in a 55-gallon tank, we recommend a 150-watt bulb. Be sure to adjust the height of the bulb according to the temperature needed in your tank.

Is this a "black light"?
Answer by ChewyAug 19, 2019
This bulb is not a black light. The black color of this nocturnal heat lamp bulb provides a dim light, much like the glow of the moon. The bulb is made from glass which contains rare earth black phosphors. As a result, the bulb mimics the moon shining above your pet's natural habitat .This low light is perfect for viewing your pet at night without creating a bright, glaring light. This nocturnal heat lamp bulb provides concentrated heat without letting too much light escape the black glass of the bulb.

Would the 75 watt be good for a 10 gal or is that too much?
Answer by ChewyNov 28, 2018
The 75-watt bulb is recommended for tanks starting at 15 Gallons or 24 x 12 x 12 inches. A 50-watt bulb is recommended for a 10 Gallon tank.

Don't buy these

I bought 2 of these bulbs and within 3 weeks the first one burnt out. I figured that maybe there was something wrong with it and used the other one and that one burnt out after 4 days keep in mind I only use these at night not even 24 hours a day so maybe a collective 32 hours of use from the second bulb

2 Days Max

The bulb worked great at first and I loved how dark it was. However, it was working great and then flickered and went out within two days. I had to go alternative ways to for heat during the night now that it's becoming colder here.

Done buying.

I've bought several of these over the last year because I like how dark they are. Ive had one last almost 6months but since then it seems to last about a month sometimes 2...if it doesn't blow out within the first week. I love them and it emits the correct heat I need but I'm done wasting money. Onto something else... hopefully other people have better luck than I have.

Good Quality

This is a good quality light however, the only disappointing thing is that the light blew out after a few days so thankfully we ordered 2 and had a backup. Normally we don't have an issue with this brand and are happy with it. The reason I only gave 4 stars was due to one burning out in a matter of days.

okay so I know we shouldn’t have any lights during the “night” because it can mess with reptiles internal clock or what not but it beats the bright red light other companies advertise. It gives GREAT heat to my little Leopard Gecko and minimal light possible.

Won't last

I got this bulb twice. The first time it had very little heat and light coming off it and then it died the next day. Chewy sent me a new one for free. Now this one just blew out and it's only been a week. These lights don't work which sucks because they give off such a cool black light feel and just the right heat.

150 Watt bulb

I purchased a 75 Watt and a 150 watt bulb. 75 Watt bulb works great. The 150 Watt bulb blew out as soon as I turned it on.
