My dog quickly demolished the log but the hedgehogs have held up for almost a year. Beware- my dog brought one of these outside without me knowing, dropped it, and then a few days later tried to bring it back inside- I let out quite the yelp thinking he caught a rodent. I would rebuy these just for the hedgehogs though- he's a toy destroyer and the fact they've lasted is impressive. Before destroying the log, he did enjoy pulling the toys out of it.
