Is this product ok for a single fish. Or will it dispense too much food.

This product is suitable for use with a single betta fish. It dispenses 2-4 pellets per day.

I’ve read that Betta fish need a lid on their tank due to them being jumping fish. Does this feeder work with a lid on the tank or does it need to be an open tank?

It is recommended to use Zoo Med's Micro Floating Betta Pellets with this feeder.

The Betta feeder dispenses food once every 24 hours. You cannot set it for 12 hours, it just manually rotates.

With the tiny parts, it took forever to get together and then it didn't work. I think it is a very poor design, and I will be buying an electronic one. Don't waste

useless / terrible quality

I purchased this item for my Betta fish. This item does not work what so ever. I tested it over a day to see if it would drop food on its own, and it failed. It only worked when you moved it manually. The company who makes this, and Chewy should be embarrassed by the product that they sell.
