Deadly sand

Why are they even allowed to market this as good for crabs...it's NOT!! Get regular sandbox-type sand if you want your crabs to survive.

Absolutely Inappropriate for Hermit Crabs

This stuff will kill your hermit crab by hardening in it's gills. Please go buy regular play sand from your local hardware store instead.

Please get zoo meds reptisand or play sand calcium sand is not safe for hermit crabs as it will harden if they get in on them or in their shell and very likely kill them , yes they need calcium but they’re safer forms of hermit crab food to give to your crabs like crush oysters shells and crushed egg shells

Killer sand

Hermit crabs have gills, which they use to breathe in the water and on Land, and calcium sand can block up those gills so they cannot breathe.
