Puppy wouldn’t eat
We have a 9 week old German Shepard puppy we are training and these treats were recommended by a healthy friend. The dog will not eat them so they can’t be used as the intended training treat as packaged. Do not recommend.
Trainer recommended
These are perfect - low calorie - small and Praline' loves them - just give her a few each day when praising her for a good deed!
No go
Dogs refused to eat them.
Smells Bad
I don't like the smell, and I cannot break them in half or easily apart.

I Don't Recommend
I don't recommend this product! I bought it because it was for puppies. I have a "new baby" and thought it would be a treat her size, while the bigger dog got a treat. When I received them, they are little round, hard treats, about the size of a pea. I gave her one and luckily she spit it out. It was so hard she couldn't chew it and could have easily choked on it!
Puppy treats
These Zukes are made for puppies but I tried them on my 5 year old Brody. The treats are in between chewy and crunchy and he seemed to enjoy the change I texture. He loved the flavor and continues to beg for more than his allotted serving. With the chickpeas being so high in fiber they did cause a bit of digestive upset.
Will not buy again
I purchased 3 flavors of these Zuke's treats after seeing them recommended on a dog trainer video. These treats are very hard like pellets and my puppy does not like them at all. We used them for a training session one day and shortly after our puppy threw them all up. They seemed to have expanded in her stomach and not broken down or digested at all. We will be throwing out the unused treats.
Terrific Treats for Training
Our puppy has loved these treats since she was a few months old. The stiff texture means they can be cut in half if needed and don't crumble in your hands. I love the fact that these treats don't contain any rice (gives our pup diarrhea) which is very hard to find. Unfortunately, we won't be able to continue using Zuke's since their regular treats contain rice. 8^(
