Carbohydrate content please?
Answer by ChewyDec 31, 2022
This food contains a carbohydrate content of 2.12% approximately on an as-fed basis.

What is the phosphorus content of this food? (It would be great if you provided this information for all cat foods. Someone asks the question for many foods, but I think it would be more efficient for you as well as customers if you provided this information as a matter of course.)
Answer by ChewyMar 08, 2021
This recipe has a phosphorus content of 0.40% on an as fed basis. This value is based on a typical (average) analysis of the product, so natural variations can and do occur.

Pros and Cons

Why I like 9 Lives Meaty Pate With Real Chicken (pros): - The smell doesn't make me want to vomit - It is cheap - It has fewer ingredients than other low-cost cat foods - The cats like it Why I dislike 9 Lives Meaty Pate With Real Chicken (cons): - It has small bones and who knows what else (see photo) Still, I would recommend it to someone looking for a low-cost canned cat food. I do NOT recommend 9 Lives Meaty Pate Super Supper. It is quite disgusting, and the cats do not like it.

Some liked & some didnt..

I'm fostering a cat that was attacked by a coyote and can only eat pate because of a cracked palate. He is able to eat this with no problem. As for my own cats, they don't seem to like it. Don't know why.

Real Chicken Not so great.

The 9 Lives Seafood Platter was a hit with all my cats. The 9 Lives Real Chicken was not. Not sure why. I would recommend the seafood platter. Other cats may like the Real Chicken.

Cat's Favorite

I usually buy more expensive cat food for my cats but lately they've gotten 'picky' over Fancy Feast, so I picked up a cheap can of 9 Lives! Of course they love it and prefer it to the more expensive brand. Guess as long as they eat something, it's better than not eating the Dollar a Can, 3 oz Fancy Feast!!! (Price including shipping)

cats like this

I bought this for the stray cats we've been feeding. they like this pate a lot. this was the least expensive wet pate cat food I could find for the 3 stray kitties. the reason for 4 stars is the ingredients. I would never feed this to my indoor kitty.

Approved by our sweet "porch" kitties

We feed eight "porch kitties". We use 9Lives because it is good quality and they like it. We have to use this less expensive food because all of our indoor only rescues are on prescription diets and medications for various conditions.

Good Price - Good Product

9 Lives is always a good product my only fault with them is metal cans instead of aluminum. I can recycle aluminum and they are easy to clean, but metal not so much.

Even the raccoon won’t eat it!

Must have changed the recipe. My outside cats used to love this food before it “went away” and came back. Now they won’t touch it. Even the raccoon that comes around won’t eat it. Won’t be buying again.
