Good ingredients questionable manufacturer

The ingredients in this food are good and the cats ate it okay. It is a nice soft pate but still has some texture to it. There are two things that I do not like

The ingredients in this food are good and the cats ate it okay. It is a nice soft pate but still has some texture to it. There are two things that I do not like about it: 1. The containers; and 2. The manufacturer's reputation. This food is produced by Simmons which is an American pet food manufacturer that has a history of recalls. Simmons bought out one of the pet food companies that was involved in the 2007 melanamine contamination and absorbed those plants, so I personally wouldn't feed it to my cats. As far as the containers go, the foil covering over the plastic cups is sharp and can potentially cut you, and the small angled corners in the plastic containers make them hard to get clean to recycle. It's probably safe to feed, but I would recommend closely watching the FDA recall site to be sure that it continues to be safe to feed since this is not a trustworthy manufacturer, and there are surely better options.

This is one of my cats foods they've eaten. My Benny has no problem eating right away, but my Finely is a very picky eater. I usually have to chase her and carry her to the bowl to get her to eat (if not, then Benny will go right after hers as soon as he finishes his share). Only with this particular food, I have not problem chasing her. She loves it.

I got this for my kitties to use as a topper since they both need extra liquid in their diets and the description of "in savory juices" lead me to think it would be... well, juicy. This is a pate style with very little extra juices so I was a bit disappointed. That said the small size is perfect as a topper and my kitties did love it. I added a bit of extra water to thin it out and they gobbled it right up!

I'm so happy to have found this food for my boy. He has been so picky since getting him 3 months ago, and he likes this food. It has just a bit of gravy over the pate style, which I like, because cats in the past would just lick the gravy and not eat the actual nutrient-rich food. Leo eats it all. It's also the perfect size per serving. I'm relieved to not be wasting food or messing around with cat food lids and reheating cat food from the refrigerator. Easy to open, although you do need to do it carefully. I recommend separating/tearing apart the two servings before trying to open one.

Feed one 2.6 oz cup to each of my cats once a day. One did not like it, but the other cat loved it. The split cups are great, and the portion is just enough. Would like to see some food that is screeded, minced etc. and with gravy, as not all cats like the pate. I also found it a bit difficult to open the cups and had to use a knife to cut the foil lid off. The cups are also easy to store, and the split cups separate easily. I would recommend this product to a friend and I absolutely love Chewy and have recommended Chewy to all of my friends, as they are a top notch company. I am located in Columbia, SC.

I have two large food picky Maine Coons. They loved this food as soon as I popped one open. It's a perfect size for both of them so there is none leftover. They get them at dinner time but graze all day on hard food. I had a little warm water so it's easier for them to get it clean off their dish. They do eat it at a normal pace so it's not like a treat food they inhale. This is going to be my go to food from now on! Great quality time sitting on the floor with them while they eat.

A good food that all my cats loved. Even my feral cats liked it! And I love you can give it in small portions. That way less is wasted. I usually have to add water to canned food to add a little extra moisture, but this I don’t have to. It’s a great option to get some extra hydration and senior kitties.
